Yeewwweee, y’all! First time at a solely vegan restaurant; I’m officially spoiled and feel bad for all other vegan restaurants I (may) visit in the future. The Reuben beats the majority of meat Reuben sandwiches in Denver. I eat dairy, meat and, well, all the things. Joey’s service was exceptional, as well. The Reuben and the Tofu Polenta were fabulous. Honestly the best Reuben I've ever had.
OMG, my new favorite vegan spot! Inside the Edgewater Market and a small restaurant, however, the food was amazing with so many good flavors! The Caesar salad was soooo good with the toasted sesame seeds on it! I also had the Root Vegetable Ruben that was 'to die for' with the hand cut fries. Gladys Restaurant at the public market continues to offer outstanding food, even for non-vegans. Known for their Buffalo artichokes, the restaurant serves unique dishes like the See-Food pasta and winter fricassee. With a recent menu expansion, Gladys has added delicious sandwiches and a variety of items such as the garden dip, Greg burger, crunchy cabbage, and potato croquettes, all praised for their phenomenal flavors. Guests have highly praised the flavors, noting that every dish is packed with flavor and presented beautifully. The restaurant has moved into a new space in the Edgewater Public Market, which is about three times larger than the previous area, providing a beautiful setting for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. The service remains great, and guests can now enjoy additional non-alcoholic drinks, including kombucha. The garlic bread appetizer has received special mention for being exceptional, and the new space enhances the dining experience with an open kitchen where guests can see the chefs at work. Guests have raved about the seasonal savory funnel cake, Reuben sandwich, and the French fries, which are considered some of the best. The flavors and culinary mastery create an experience that goes beyond a typical meal. Gladys is truly a hidden gem worth returning to, and their sea salt/chocolate chip cookie remains a must-try! Don't sleep on the gnocchi and the strawberry rhubarb cake, which have also been highlighted by guests. Plentiful free parking is available, making it great for a walk around nearby Sloan’s lake after a meal.
