Look I get it. Service is important. But it’s not everything. I think if they hired someone dedicated to pouring water and refilling drink orders, they could go from a 3 for service to a 10.
Were our drinks refilled once in 2 hours? No. Was that a problem? Not really. With a reservation I was not sat for 36 minutes. Who’s counting? The bar was awesome, and the drinks were a delight.

Lev, Christian, and Jillian took good care in of us. Meal was fantastic. Service was fantastic. We will be back.

MacGregor Chop House is a welcome addition to Estes Park, offering an upscale steak house experience. The food is excellent, made with very high quality ingredients. A steak does not disappoint, as expected at a self proclaimed chop house. The Ora King Salmon and Tuna Crudo are each delicious and worth ordering again. The seafood tower and the filet make a perfect amount of food. The Parker House Rolls are excellent, the classic strip is cooked to perfection and super flavorful, and the whipped potatoes and garlic are perfect. The carrots are just right. The butter toffee cake is some of the best dessert. The drinks are a delight, and the bar is awesome. The space is beautiful, open and bright, with big windows and a beautiful view in a beautifully restored portion of the main hotel building. The staff are lovely, welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, though the service is green and there will be hiccups. There is A LOT of construction around the Stanley.
