Not often that one has a very nice meal and then it got RUINED by a woman who approached our table less than five minutes before we were ready to leave to tell us if we were finished because “there were others” waiting for our two top table. The message was okay, thanks for dining now get the heck out! The restaurant was full, but we did not see anyone waiting for a table. Completely stunned as this is my hometown and this would be unacceptable anywhere. Zero stars!
Wow is an understatement for such an amazing restaurant. Not only is Hugo, the owner, heavily involved in every aspect of his restaurant but the staff are wonderful and the food is absolutely amazing. Not only was one dish amazing that my table ordered but every single dish we had was very yummy. Makes us want to go back to try more dishes as I am sure every dish there will melt in our mouth. Hugo's offers an amazing dining experience with fantastic service. The seared halibut and Daily Fish are highly recommended dishes. The Lavender Margherita and cocktails are perfect. The calamari, tomato bisque, and pastrami sandwich are delicious choices. The restaurant is a hidden gem for brunch, with a fantastic lemon and berry pancake. The outside may not impress, but the inside is delightful and cozy, with great attention to detail.
