“We were planning a surprise 50th birthday celebration for my brother from Virginia. A large group on a Sunday evening. I reached out to Hugo’s based on reviews to see if they could accommodate us. They did not hesitate and went above and beyond to make sure the evening was perfect. From the amazing staff, phenomenal food and atmosphere. They even made an amazing birthday cake for us. Highly recommend Hugo’s and cannot sing their praises enough. The owner is so kind and made sure we all had an amazing evening. 10 stars for sure ❤️“
“Came for a nice dinner during a weekend getaway from Denver.I was very happy to get a reservation at 4:30pm as the restaurant was completely booked on Saturday night (a great sign to start)The Pullman is easy to get to with street parking nearby. The host and hostess were very friendly and got us seated. We were very lucky to have Bridget R. as our server. She did an incredible job of taking care of us from start to finish. We appreciated her suggestions for food and drinks. To start I had the house oldy with Woody Creek, bitters and pistachio. It was well mixed and I'd even for an extra shot of bourbon next time. For appetizers we tried the foie grad creme brulee with toasted bread. My wife really loved it. I thought it was good and enjoyed the pear compote served alongside. It is very rich and something I have not seen before. They also had a scallop appetizer special which was divine. It was cooked perfectly and served in the scallop shell. I even took some of the salt the shell rested on to add more flavor- yum!For entrees my wife had the elk Bolognese with ricotta dumplings, fennel, balsamic vinegar and parm. The dumplings were light and fluffy without falling apart and cooked perfectly. The elk bolognese was not gamy and seasoned very well. This is something I would go back for time and time again. My entrée was a special steak cooked medium (chef's suggestion) with sweet potatoes, roasted brussel sprouts, a miso butter and marinated in sake (I believe but can't recall exactly) The server recommended this and it was SO worth it. The steak was cooked perfectly and everything was in harmony. Would definitely get this again. We were too full for dessert but the offerings looked fantastic. Will definitely book the Pullman the next time we venture to Glenwood Springs.“
“We love this restaurant. It's tiny, busy, and always serves great tacos and hot dogs ?. Fast service for the amount of business. They also have the luxury of the downtown Glenwood Springs p7cnic area. It's a lot of fun.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free“
“The best Elk Burger I've had!!! The "surf n turf " trout and elk, to die for however the huckleberry drink and their raspberry cheesecake stole the show!!! CO Ranch House will be making this stop again! Don't pass this experience up!!“
“Great local bar! Went for Wednesday night karaoke and what a blast! DJ’s are a lot of fun , bartenders even more and the whole place is just a great feel. They have two pool tables and events regularly!Parking: Street parking directly in front of bar.“
“Husband and I split the Harvest salad and the beef stroganoff. He had one of the house IPAs and loved it. The salad was rich with blue cheese, had a lot of fruit and the candied pecans and a very tasty dressing. The stroganoff was super tasty without being cloyingly rich, and the beef chunks were tender and plentiful. The asparagus was kind of tough... And in my opinion could have been left out, but the tough ones were very easy to eat around.“
“We popped in on New Year's Day for dinner due to the excellent reviews. Matalynne was extremely bubbly, attentive, and looked after us like a true champion. We had the Colorado Loin Lamb Chops, the 9oz Filet Mignon, and the Creme Brulee, which were all first class. An excellent wine selection inclusive of some South Australian wines, which is always a winner when dining. This is a very well run establishment. Super impressed.“
“Amazing place, great food, great service! I stopped in with 4 friends and had to wait 15mins but it was worth it as you can see in the photos. Everything tasted homemade and the OJ was delicious. Not too expensive and staff was nice and efficient. Would definitely recommend!“
“Very good meal and service. Started with a couple cornbread roles. Truthfully they tasted like typical cornbread. Main course, smoked beef brisket. Juicy and tasteful. Assorted sauces available from low heat to spicy, mustard to vinegar. The Mac was very good. Could tell it was made fresh and very cheesy. The slaw was ok, not great. I got the juiced up slaw. Not standard. A little bit excess mag for me. Finished with a piece of key lime pie. Great texture and loved the side piece of lime to full even more flavor from the pie. In the end what most matters to me is the meat and I felt they did a very good job with that.Definitely recommend.“
“Don’t know much about the community, but the golf course is beautiful, very challenging, & one I’m so glad I got to play! I will warn golfers out there that walking this course is probably not advised as the exertion of the layout & setting (lots of elevation changes, long paths between some of the holes or even sections of the course, etc.) will likely adversely impact your swing & accuracy over the course of beginning to end!“
“I wish I could give ten stars to the service category. I am so lucky to have had rose and her daughters as my friends and servers. I am so grateful to this place. I have had many crowns and coke there as I attempted to escape the difficulties in my own life. I have always not only been served great drinks here, I have always been given love and compassion and I hope I can offer something to pay that forward.“
“The environment is incredible, it feels like a trip back in time. The service is ok, nothing special. We ordered a penne bolognese that looked like an industrialized tomato sauce with cream. It was delicious, but from a distance it looked like a delicious Italian Bolognese sauce. The orange juice was industrialized and by far the best... they need to improve!! There are good industrialized juices that are closer to the flavor of natural ones.Avalanche beer is wonderful!!!“
“We broke down on interstellar 70 .CDot dropped us off .They made us feel comfortable and protected until spouse could get us from grand junction Colo. They gave use tea and lemon aid and food if wanted.Kid-friendliness: Waiters/manager offered to pay for whatever we wanted.“
“Great little sandwich spot. Authentic local restaurant that you're always in search of. Disappointed in myself that I didn't find it sooner! Love the location, as it is on the opposite side of downtown. Real quick off and on interstate, if just passing through.“
“We had an early lunch today. We were seated quickly and our waitress was friendly and accommodating. We have been before and have always enjoyed our food. I had the Three for Me and the food was fresh and delicious. We will return the next time we're in Glenwood Springs.“
“Diverse menu, veggie options, tasty food, friendly staff. Three kinds of soup available. Posole tasted authentic and came with all the trimmings. Very comfortable dining area, music is not loud. Will come back to try other things.Vegetarian options: Call ahead for options of the day.“
“Great little place to eat at, with a little history on the back of the menu about Doc Holliday. We had the Rocky Mountain Oysters with the cocktail sauce were good it could be a meal within itself because they serve them with fries nonetheless, the vibe is very cool!“
“Top notch restaurant. A little pricey but worth every penny. I would expect this caliber of food in a major cosmopolitan city. The pasta and salmon and lasagna, was probably some of the best I’ve ever had. Service was spot on and very friendly. Cute old historic building and nice atmosphere. It was definitely our favorite dining experience during our whole vacation.“
