“We got out of the hot springs at 10pm and were super hungry. Everything in town was closed, and we thought we were going to have to eat at the gas station. But we were so happy to find this place. The bar tender was welcoming and helpful, the food was fresh and delicious, and we had a fun time there. We were so grateful to find this spot and get a good dinner.“

“My friend, Greg Ebsen and I, recently completed playing golf in all fifty states. Naturally, we have developed a list of our favorite courses from around the country, and Ironbridge is right up there with the best we’ve seen. In fact, the back nine, which traverses through a canyon, is the most spectacular that we have been fortunate enough to play. And that includes courses in Alaska, Hawaii, California and Florida. The front nine is very nice, but the back is an absolute show-stopper. If you find yourself close to Glenwood Springs, Colorado, do yourself a favor and stop for a round…or two! You will not be disappointed!“

“So...the new owner could not leave things alone. This was our FAVORITE place to eat. These tacos are amazing but tonight we got home opened our boxes and they shrunk the taco size and it was not filled with wonderful toppings and filling-I am so sad if this is the new standard as I will no longer be eating here and I am not the only big fan-this is not going to fly.“

“This place was delightful! A small menu but the selection overall was amazing! My partner ordered a burger and it had a great taste, perfect fries, according to my partner They said the beer was amazing, had to buy a six pack to go!! I got the club and wow, one of the best sandwiches! They cook the bacon amazing, not burnt but not floppy, just perfect. They even sell treats upfront which i love. 10/10 would reccomend this place.“

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food where the locals actually eat, put Taqueria El Nopal on your list.

This is definitely off the tourist path, and when we walked in on a Tuesday, the restaurant was filled with locals, always a good sign. It's tucked into a strip mall, but don't let that fool you. Inside, it's colorful, casual, and full of character, with beautiful original artwork painted on the benches and tables.

You order at the counter, and we happened to visit on Tuesday, when fajitas were the special. The portion was generous, and they were absolutely delicious. My daughter had the quesadillas, my son ordered the steak platter, and everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and very well prepared.

The only thing I wasn't particularly impressed with was the salsa bar. But honestly, that was a small downside compared with how good everything else was.

This is exactly the kind of unassuming, hole-in-the-wall local restaurant I love discovering, authentic food, lots of personality, generous portions, and a place where the community actually goes to eat.

If you're visiting Glenwood Springs, skip some of the touristy spots and make a stop at Taqueria El Nopal.

Definitely worth seeking out! It's on the pricy side because for the three of us with no alcohol it was $90.“

“Our server was Ryan , was pleasantly pleasant, was Johnny on the spot , I sat down , as my lady Powdered her nose, I wasn’t seated two minutes , asked what I like to drink, made a special request as my honey bunny likes Iced coffee, I had iced tea , and was back in no time , took our order, we had Caesar salad , that was fast , so the next time we stop we will ask to sit in Ryan’s area , five stars , we are new to Glenwood springs, love the folks, Love the area , he got a cash tip as well on the debit card bill,“

“If you’re looking for somewhere unique to dine, this is definitely the place! The atmosphere feels very authentic to the time when Doc Holliday was alive, which makes the whole experience really fun and different.

I was craving a good hamburger, and they definitely delivered! 🍔 The burger was great, although I wasn’t a fan of the waffle fries—they were extremely crunchy and seemed like they may have been cooked a little too long.

Our server was attentive, but she wasn’t overly friendly. I’m not sure if that was because she was the only person working the front when we arrived or if she was simply focused on getting her work done. There were also a few dirty tables that weren’t cleared until more people started coming in, presumably for the evening rush.

Overall, it was a unique experience and I would eat here again. Next time, I’ll just order a different side! 😊“
