Whenever I’m in Gunnison, I enjoy eating at Garlic Mike’s. I was excited to have my 75th birthday dinner there on January 5, 2025. The cream of mushroom soup and flatiron steak were very good, however the Alfredo sauce was thin and tasteless. We weren’t offered freshly grated Parmesan cheese which is standard for an Italian restaurant! I was disappointed there was no free offer of a birthday dessert or just a scoop of ice cream. We can't say enough good things about Garlic Mike's! Whether it's outdoor summer dining or dead of winter, you can't go wrong! The food and atmosphere is excellent and the staff are amazing!

Garlic Mike's Italian Cuisine, Summer River Bar and Personal Chef Services is a high end cuisine restaurant on the north side of Gunnison. The charm of the place is inviting, with a cozy dining room for two but roomy enough for 8-10. The summer patio on the river is the chefs kiss. The staff is fun and knowledgeable, and the service is great no matter how busy they get. The food is excellent and delicious, with a diverse range of Italian and freshly made dishes. The wine list is fantastic, with a very nice wine selection and a large wine selection. Specific meals include lasagna, prime rib, and eggplant parmesan, plus sides like garlic mashed potatoes, roasted carrots, side salad, and Cesar salad. Save room for dessert. Make a reservation cause it can be tough.
