It's nice to find a local, family run restaurant that doesn't break the bank. Ruben's has a nice atmosphere and good food in generous portions. The owner came over to chat with us.My only quibble is that the Diablo sauce is spicy but lacks flavor. I took my leftover home and added some New Mexico red chile powder, which made it just right.
We enjoyed Ruben's. I had the Chili Colorado. It wasn't as spicy as I'm used to. My husband had the fajitas and said they were good. My girls loved the refried beans, rice, and guacamole. We also ordered the queso. It was really good, but be aware it's a spicy queso. The service was great and restaurant clean, welcoming, and inviting.

Very good first impression. We stopped for lunch. Excellent Queso. The Birria was flavorful and was quite lean. Pricing is in line with a premium Mexican Food restaurant. The wait staff was very attentive and experienced!
