“We arrived on a Saturday afternoon at 2pm to have a late lunch. There were a few people eating but for the most part it was empty. That should be expected since it's an odd time for lunch. The server was very nice and made sure the rice didn't have bell pepper since my aunt is super allergic. The chips were fresh and the table salsa was spicy. The horchata is good and not overly sweet but still sweet. They don't have green chile without pork, so keep that in mind if you don't eat meat. They only have pork tamales, so just know that ahead of time. I suspect the refried beans have animal lard in them due to the consistency and flavor - if not, they are magicians. ? The food was fresh and the portions are VERY big. If you are visiting Olathe for any reason or just passing through, this place is easy to access from Hwy 50. The prices are very reasonable so give them a nice tip if you come! ?Vegetarian options: Be sure to ask about their beans if you are a vegetarian.”
“Awesome authentic Mexican food here the staff is great very friendly. Thier burritos are awesome, same with thier Tortas, I seen others had ordered taco plates and those looked really good too very fresh and delicious ? They are also a meat market and have fresh cuts of meat they also sell various imported Mexican food items and drinks. For a small shop they have lots of variety.Parking: There is limited parking and they are usually packed around lunch. Olathe is a really small town and they have to share parking with other businesses along the street. Still worth finding a place to park and walking to thier store”
“I lived in San Francisco and always went to the eateries in the South of Market district. Their food is as good as any that I've had the privilege of eating. Their baked goods are equally awesome!”
“I used to like them when I was younger, but their quality has faltered. I had their biscuits and gravy. It was way too watered-down, the gravy had barely any flavor. Maybe I came on a bad day though.”
“They have really delicious, unique coffee, and really tasty food items as well. Everytime my wife and I are back in Colorado to see family, we make it a point to stop by. If you're in the the tiny city of Delta, you should too!!”
“I am a truck driver and have had meals in thousands of restaurants all over the country.I've been to Ted's 10 - 12 times and can only say this about 2 restaurants. I've never had a meal there I didn't thoroughly enjoy. Great food, great service and atmosphere. Highly recommend.”
“Best coffee beans, great service, their coffee beens are not acidic, always fresh , they roast and ship Tuesdays and Thursdays. I've visited their store, so I keep ordering from there. If you like fresh chocolaty espresso, you'll love them.”
“Food=great, Owner=very nice and genuinely wants you to enjoy his food, Atmosphere=small, limited seating, could be cozier, but very very clean. I suggest eating ALL the things, but order to go.”
“Great juices, friendly service, ...but the music playing while you wait? The WORST. In creating a "healthy" atmosphere, they might consider playing music that supports the same, like songwriters or tasteful acoustic instead of decades-old club music. Someone there must have some taste...?”
“My wife and I had an amazing breakfast here. The sandwiches were amazing and came with a slaw that is unique and delicious. Well made coffee drinks and the coffee quality is PNW worthy. Really pleasant staff, and a rad environment. We walked into some kids playing D&D for the first time, and it was awesome. Only criticism is that they need to read the room on candle prices. I understand they are handmade but they are extremely expensive. Not sure how many of those will move as they really didn't look or smell special at all. But ignore the candles and come for the sandys and coffee.”
“We stopped to pick up a 'to go' order on Sunday afternoon. There was one couple dining in, and two or three people came to pick up to go as well. It took quite some time to get the food, but we did order quite a few items. My aunt is deathly allergic to bell pepper, so she was not able to partake in the samosa's, and we suspect she couldn't do the veggie curry as it smelled like bell pepper to me. However, everything we tried was delicious. We can't rate the service or atmosphere since we didn't eat in, but it's a true hole in the wall that is very cute.”
“Sooo delicious, they stayed open a few minutes later for us since we arrived right before closing for desserts. Absolutely amazing churros, as well as a funnel cake dessert. Love how customizable it ”
“I just stopped in by myself one evening for a drink and it was great. The ambiance is pleasant and I was delighted by a peated bourbon out of Boulder. All Colorado whiskeys and, as someone typically wary of old fashioneds, their take was well-rounded and ”
“Charming! Wonderful service with friendly, positive folks. This shop radiates a great atmosphere. Coffee is good and options are endless. Wonderful nibbles to go with your coffee.Wheelchair accessibility: Open floorplan. Multiple seating areas with different levels of seating. Wide walkways between tables.”
“Wonderful food. We had the breakfast croissant and the sunrise bowl and were very happy with delicious taste, size was plentiful! We also had an iced chai tea latte that was splendid. Service was so very friendly and efficient with a warm inviting feeling.Outdoor seating in a lovely area as well as indoors. Pastries looked spectacular and we will get two of their turnovers to go and will report back.If you are in the area go!!!!!.”
“Amazing food, fair prices on beer, super atmosphere, even have board games. Owners are doing so much right. This is a great place to hang out, YAY for Montrose!!”
“I had the pulled pork sandwich, creamy cold saw, and barley soup, it was excellent. Ordered extra soup to go home!Parking: Downtown is very busy and limited parking. Sometimes you have to drive around block a couple times to find a spot.Wheelchair accessibility: Doors open wide enough to get a wheelchair in and easy to pull up to a table”
“Great service and delivery. They forgot the ranch but immediately came back to make it right. Loved the spicy chili wings and pepperoni pizza. Super friendly delivery drive also. 5 ”
“We travel through the western slope often for work, and coffee is always a must. We stopped here on our way back to Montrose and it was well worth it! I had a lavender latte that was so yummy!”
“Pizza is delicious ?, you can taste and see the fresh high quality ingredients. And their service is beyond amazing! Give them a try for your next pizza night you’ll come to find it’s your new favorite pizza place!Kid-friendliness: Minni Golf and batting cages”
“Although there are lots of sandwiches, drinks and food on the menu, it's the pizza that sets this Main St. foodery apart. I think it's the best pizza in Montrose, and as good as any anywhere. I'm a particular fan of their a la carte straight pesto pizza with cherry tomatoes and anything else you want to put on it. They also have a great Garden Pesto pizza with mozzarella, spinach, pesto, artichoke hearts, garlic, and shaved parmesan. I could go on as I've tried many of their marinara pies and have never had a bad one. One of the outstanding aspects of their pizza is just the best damn crust, which seems a stretch for many pizza places. Their crust is the best I have ever had and if you want you can get a special honey based dipping sauce that almost makes the crusts a dessert. I'm also a fan of their crispy romaine Caesar salad. A large one is a meal in itself or split it before wolfing down your pie. The wait staff are efficient, competent, and obviously happy. The maître d looks as if he stepped out of a country western band, knows what he is doing, and just plain makes you feel happy. If you can't eat out or are naked, call your order in and eat it in your car at the drive in, at home, or take it over to a pal's house. Pro tip: The place is frequently crowded, especially from 5:30-7, but if there are open stools back at the bar overlooking the pizza assembly table and oven, grab a seat there to see the magic happen and watch the pizza artists who are often ready to answer questions if they're not crazy busy.”
“Must try the Spanish peaks. It is amazing. Also the breakfast burritos are unparalleled. I highly recommend this establishment if you are unfortunate enough to have not tried it yet.”
“I found this place when I was working in Montrose and I am glad I did! One of the best burgers I have ever had. Juicy, tasty, and sloppy like it should be. The kids who work there are always friendly. And the shakes are great. I drove an hour tonight just to get a burger!”
“Fast, friendly service with great food. Haven't tried anything that I don't like. Plus... One of my favorites, fresh made horchata not the powdered stuff.”
“We have been here twice and both times really enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks. In the photo is the Key Lime Pie Martini. We have also tried the Pink Lady, Old Fashioned, Margarita, and Whiskey Sour. Everyone only had great things to say about their drinks.”
“I went in for breakfast & the food was delicious! Customer service was wonderful! From the server taking excellent care of us to Francisco himself, he stopped by to say hi. I'd definitely go & try the lunch/dinner.I got Chili Rellano (not on breakfast menu, but still available). That Green Chili was probably 1 of the best I've tried so far.The second plate is a Chorizo omelet.”
“It's a place for the good old boys to meet for coffee and breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were good, the green chili on the breakfast burrito was amazing. Service was average and the atmosphere was rustic country, which is what you expect next to the sales yard.”
“This was our first time trying this place and it was perfect! Our barista recommended vanilla and coconut sweetener with my matcha and she was spot on. I am addicted and will be back!?”
“Some of the bench seats in the booths have rips in the vinyl but somehow this is part of the charm of the place. C & J is a locals spot and the old timers and blue collar guys are a big part of what makes the restaurant colorful and special. The waitresses are top notch and friendly, but there greatest treasure may be the breakfast/lunch cook. Her food comes fast and perfect every time. She is an artist, paying attention to the small details that make a difference. The golden brown on a pancake, the melted cheese on an omelette. Don't come expecting to find avocado toast on the menu or scrambled tofu, this is straight up American diner fare, unpretentious and done well.”
“We came here on a Wednesday afternoon while we're visiting my Grandma at Colorow Health and Rehabilitation facility. There were 3 people getting to-go orders and two people in the dining room. We actually drove right by because there's no sign identifying the restaurant. If you're heading North and pass the gas station on the corner, you've gone too far. We had the fried pickle spears, a fried chicken sandwich, and a spicy fried chicken sandwich and they were DELICIOUS. He makes his own buns and bread. It's a soft bun toasted with a touch of sweetness. The chicken was moist, his oil is fresh and has no taste of dirtiness. The onion rings are great. There's nothing we didn't like. It's a small place but worth trying if you're in the area!! ❤️”
