About Caroline’s

Caroline's offers a diverse menu, featuring dishes from classic French onion soup to unique options like Peach Mussels and Elk. The dining experience has received mixed reviews. The food quality can be hit or miss, with the French onion soup highlighted as one of the best dishes ever had by reviewers. The Elk loin is described as dynamite, fantastic, with perfect texture and seared exterior. The salmon special, a pesto crusted salmon over Alfredo pasta and spinach, was delicious. Side salads were considered average, with a recommendation to choose the French onion soup instead. The wine selection is nice, and the prices are very reasonable. Service at Caroline's is praised as exceptional, with staff consistently checking in and ensuring that water glasses are filled. The server was excellent—very friendly and accommodating. The entire staff was attentive and kind, contributing to a wonderful dining experience. However, some main courses, like the short ribs, have been noted to lack flavor, and the proximity to other tables can affect the acoustics and ambience. Despite this, many customers express a desire to return, looking forward to the drive over the Mesa for another visit. Takeout options have also received positive feedback, with meals from appetizers to desserts being enjoyed.

We travel to The Wine Country Inn every year for the peaches and wine, both of which are excellent. We always have dinner at Caroline's. The food is exquisite, the staff is wonderful, and the ambiance is perfect, fitting right-in with the wine and peaches and rural setting. Highly recommend.
We had a party of 8 and that accommodated us nicely and let me put decor on table for my dads 80th birthday ! Food was great , pesto chicken , but could have been a bigger portion . But was convenient and yummy!
This restraint is in the Wine Country Inn where we stayed. Walked steps from our room. The food was really good as well as the wine. It's an intimate dining room but lovely decor. Staff was very respectful and friendly.
