“Having lived in San Francisco for several years I am picky about my Chinese food. I don't have high expectations in other places but this small restaurant in an even smaller town surprised me. The egg rolls are tasty, the potstickers are legit (especially the dipping sauce) and they actually make one of my favorite dishes: pork and eggplant in garlic sauce. My only critique of that is I wished the meat was shivered instead of sliced...then the pork gets a little crispy on the edges.“

“I had the treat of having lunch at the Purple Toad yesterday. The Monte Cristo was EXCELLENT!! I changed the cheese from cheddar to pepper jack and wow it was so flavorful. The sweet and savory combo was just delicious. Our server Heather was a doll. Very attentive and upbeat. The prices were on par for what I expected. I went with my brother and sister in law that live in Peyton. For 2 beers, wine slushee and 3 sandwiches was very reasonable. I live in Rochester, NY and can guarantee this restaurant would be packed all the time there. The music was not too loud and enjoyed the country tunes!!“
