Stronghouse Brew Pub Reviews
Great atmosphere, beer and food.
Love this place. Bar staff are amazing!
I didn't expect such delicious food at a Brew Pub, not to mention the perfect glass of wine (I had the Bordeaux). We split the beet hummus, which was the highlight of all the restaurant meals I ate while in Telluride. The salad was beautiful and tasty, the soup (tomato) was wonderful (my companion said). The Stronghouse Brew Pub in downtown Telluride is nestled in a charming 1892 stone building that features an original 1880s mahogany bar and antique lift. It offers a warm, rustic, and inviting atmosphere with a lively, communal vibe. The pub is known for its award-winning, on-site craft beers, which include a variety of styles such as German pils, seasonal IPAs, and the highly praised honey-ginger blonde. Visitors have praised the Scottish ale as the best they’ve had, while the tripel and Blonde Betty have also received excellent feedback. The menu features hearty alpine-inspired pub fare like Bavarian pretzels, Colorado brats, and mac & cheese, with options for vegetarians and gluten-free choices. While some dishes, like beer cheese, could be more flavorful, many agree that the pretzel and beer cheese combination is unmatched. The pub mustard is described as perfectly balanced and creamy, and pickled veggies provide a tangy contrast, though they may not appeal to everyone. The friendly staff is noted for their welcoming service, as guests have enjoyed their visits without feeling rushed. With delicious $6 pints and a location just steps from the free gondola, Stronghouse Brew Pub is a popular spot, especially after a day on the slopes.
