My wife and I have been eating at Heaven Dragon in Thornton for 30 years., and I have always ordered the Moo Goo Gai Pan chicken. I don't know who the chief was on 8/19/2025, but that was the without a doubt, the best I have ever had! I rarely give reviews out for any restaurant, but I thought today to be an exception. Heaven Dragon Thornton is a classic Chinese restaurant. The food is beyond excellent, very affordable, and always fresh. The cooking is wonderful, with huge plates of delicious food. The lunch specials come with soup, egg roll, crab Rangoon, an entree, fried or white rice, and a fortune cookie. The menu has options for vegetarian and all different meats. Highly recommended dishes include the Sesame Chicken and jalapeño Chicken. The staff is friendly, sweet, and fast. The service is great, and the people are very nice. This is the best Chinese restaurant, with nothing comparable to the cooking. It is a wonderful experience filled with wonderful people. The restaurant is a tribute to the owner who passed away, and the food is still amazing. Customers keep coming back again and again, eating here once a week since moving to Colorado. The restaurant has scattered for Air Force One.
