This was our first time at Mountain Standard and it did not disappoint. Wonderful vibe inside and the food was incredible! Will definitely be back!

Once we received our cooked shrimp the meal was good. service was fine. I do not like seeing a service charge on my bill without being told about. I was happy the manager took it off the bill.

we arrived 30 minutes after a Bravo event early the restaurant was no more than half full and hostess refused to seat us with the only excuse being that it wasnt our reservation time she was immature and seemed to want to exert her power. We had friends from out of town who we were excited to bring to Mountain Standard. The service once we sat was great. As a local resident and a frequent customer this was really off putting. An example of extremely poor customer service. I dont think we will be back for quite a while

We had an exceptional dining experience! From the attentive staff to the delicious biscuits, and the mouthwatering trout, everything was simply wonderful. We will definitely be back!

Good overall, but fell short of my expectations. I read great reviews prior to dining and don't get me wrong, the food was good but it didn't blow me away. The pimento cheese appetizer was excellent. We ordered the piri piri chicken and the tri tip for entrees, and while both were good, they weren't excellent. The temperature of both was lukewarm, and was close to cold by the time we finished eating. The chicken was very flavorful and well cooked, but very heavy on the garlic. When we ordered the tri tip, our server said it comes out medium rare and I confirmed that was good. I don't think what we got was medium rare, and was borderline well done. The fritter was very good, albeit cold. Drinks were good, and service was good although a bit slow. I know you're paying a premium for everything in Vail, but the experience overall just didn't seem to justify the price tag.

We love Mountain Standard. However our dining experience on 7/3 was not quite the standard we are used to. We ordered drinks after being seated at our table and they took over 30 minutes to arrive. We ordered our food well after the drink order and our apps came out before the drinks. My husband ordered a second beverage near the end of our meal and that drink also took so long that he canceled that order. The server apologized for the bar being slow but I think at that point the drinks should have been comped. We ordered the Santa Maria trip which was overcooked.

2nd time eating here. Service was ok but not attentive. The lamb gyro was not what was expected. We think of gyros as thin slices of meat while what we got was shaped like a sausage. And it was hotter (spicer) than expected. The biscuit with the ham and hot pepper jelly was just ok, but smaller than the $6 cost would justify. The clam chowder was the only part of the meal that was above average.

Oh.My.Lord! Amazing!!! We went for dinner 12/5 while up at Vail. Charles, one of the managers, was thoughtful, checked to see how our experience was…it was second-to-none! The restaurant is beautiful, love the open kitchen, the staff—kind, informative, attentive. But the food! Next level!! The pork shank is the best pork I’ve ever had . . . wow! Charles told us the lengthy process it takes to make that, so delicious! The clam chowder was exceptional; they smoke the clams before putting in the chowder. That slight smoky flavor made this the best chowder I’ve ever tasted!
In summary, beautiful restaurant, great customer service and outstanding food!! Go!! You won’t be disappointed.

Definitely their menu is very limited and for me their food does not taste good.

AMAZING!! My husband and I went here for our anniversary while in Vail, and it happened to be our last night there and boy did it live up to its hype!! Staff…amazing! Ambiance…dreamy! And food…oh the food…was SO delightful! Highly recommend the Baba ghanoush and lamb appetizers, they have one of the most beautiful and tastiest wedge salads I’ve ever seen, and absolutely delicious pork chop to finish it out. One of the better dining experiences I have had not only in Vail, but out of anywhere we’ve been!

Holy moly. So delicious. Husband and I came here for an anniversary dinner. Food is phenomenal. We ordered basically everything on the raw menu (100% worth it), salmon dip (yes, yes, yes) and two meals (we are foodies okay). Oh and a dessert (not getting on the scale for 5 days). We are already planning our return trip back! We don't even ski at Vail, but will be returning to the town just for this restaurant though we live over 100 miles away north of Denver. Thank you Mountain Standard crew!! Y'all rock.

The atmosphere and service left quite a bit to be desired. We were celebrating a birthday and the waitress didn’t seem interested or have any well wishes or words. The food was okay but lacking a bit in flavor. Definitely not worth the experience for us and I honestly regret spending my birthday here. The pork shank was good. Everything else was average or below.

Food and drinks were delicious, and the service was great.

One distraction was the lighting. One overhead was too bright and shined down on us like a spotlight.
