My group of 6 rarely eats out at expensive places, and we were seriously amazed at how good everything tasted!! We tried almost every dish on the menu, and tried every single dessert. We all thought everything was absurdly good and would especially recommend the lamb, wagyu steak, and scallop fagottini! We loved every single dessert, but the sticky toffee pudding cake knocked our socks off and was the entire groups favorite!

We came to Vail Village and we were hungry. Location is quaint and has that rustic look. Estebans service was Excellent. Wife and myself had the ? that were really good. Daughter had a ? Katsu ramen that was really good. Daughter ordered a dessert that had raspberries, blood orange marmalade with some cheese dessert that was great. Great place to have lunch

There is a reason they have a Michelin star and have been open for 40+ years!! We tried foods we've never had before and everything was outstanding! The dishes were complex yet perfectly balanced. Amazing service as well. I can't wait to come back!

Warning--ordered two margarita with Casa Dragones. Bill came and was charged $95 for each. Did the server discuss he would be putting an extremely high end version of this tequila in the drink? No he did not. He did not say they only had one type. Have ordered many margaritas, normally if it's an expensive bottle they will ask would you like that right? Nope. After dropping the bill he ran away, clearly knowing what he did.I took it up with the manager who said we should take the responsibility off the server...everyone who orders a margarita must know they only have a premium version at Sweet Basil. WOW.Oysters were also not fresh.Menu is the same all season.Manager refused to take drinks off bill. Only one because we just should've known by osmosis that they would charge close to $100 for a margarita.I normally pay around 30-45 for this cocktail and I just found her responsibility and professionalism unacceptable.BTW our server seemed to target us because we were the only people not speaking spanish. I guess that means I must not know how to get ripped off on ordering a margarita. This place has turned into a tourist trap. Sad to see.

Good service, loved our waiter, very good waiter. Melted feta appetizer was Excellent and great presentation. Caviar sandwich-barely any caviar. Excellent desert (we had Snowman). Amazing presentation, very delicious. Dinner entrees - meh. We had salmon, chicken dish and scallops with some odd pasta dumplings. Entrees-3 stars. Salmon-I honestly cook a better baked salmon. There was nothing wrong with it just mediocre. Sauce overpowering, the whole dish did not really work together. Was ok. Fair menu price would be 18.99 Chicken dish was a little more interesting. Fair price would be up to 24.99 Scallops, same thing. Should be not more than mid 20s and not $50 or $60. I personally would gladly pay high for Amazing food but these entrees were definitely not Amazing.Probably will not be back for dinner. Maybe will try lunch.

Tonight my mom and I had dinner at the bar at Sweet Basil. We were served by a bartender named John who normally works at Mountain Standard.First of all, the drinks he made us were some of the best we have ever had. He was so fast, kind, and extremely friendly—he made our evening so fun. Everyone at the bar was really enjoying their night because of him. He is clearly an exceptional person who takes his craft seriously. We come to Sweet Basil every year when we are in Vail, but this was such a memorable night because we just had such a good time.

Typically pretty good but last visit was just bad. The menu items were not very appealing and the ravioli app was horrible. Chicken was mediocre and salmon was undercooked. Expect much better for this place and the prices.

Took a while for the food to be prepared and though it was delivered a little poorly we were treated very well in return with some free desserts and a discount on our meal. Overall an enjoyable experience and fun atmosphere. Would recommend to

It was so loud I almost had to leave, the hostess kept saying she would help move us to a quieter location but I saw them seat others in the meantime… The main course was a Michelin quality and fantastic. Dessert looked cool but was just average taste. My ears are still ringing from how loud it was in the main room… servers were kind but not enough of them to go around, have had much better fine dining experiences… very, very loud loud, could barely hear the server detail the specials… just, wow.

Maybe it's because we came in late around 9 pm but the service was slow and ineffective, had to return more than 3 drinks because they were wrong and took more than 45 minutes to arrive. Food was generally good but the oysters were warm and small, and I believe one of our group members got food poisoning from them. Salmon dish was very salty, the mushrooms in the dish were so salty that it was inedible, returned two full plates.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience. Service was excellent across the board—thank you, Sean and team! Loved the low ABV drinks and the wine list was extensive. Everything was delicious. Standouts were the pork and the lemon fennel dessert. Highly recommend!

Very overrated place to eat. The food was so so and not amazing. The front desk hostess lady sat us in the bar area even thou we had reservations for 7pm. She was more concerned about getting them in the door than accommodating us.
