The food was really bland and uninteresting. Nothing had much flavor, and every dish tasted kind of the same. On top of that, everything was overpriced, and the food took a long time to come out. It wasn’t terrible, just disappointing and forgettable.

Excellent service and one of the best sushi rolls I've ever eaten. First night in Vail without reservations but they were very accommodating and had us seated with a minimum wait.

Sushi was spectacular. One of our top favorite places! Abby and Phoebe were great! Highly recommend.

Sushi was just meh. Low rent grocery store wine selection that’s served too warm. Their cab is from Lava Cap. Service was good but don’t waste your money here.

This is a great quaint sushi spot in Vail. Sushi was great. They do seem to add a lot fees to the bill at the end (large party fee of 20% for 5 or more and credit card processing of 3%).
Restaurant is actually closed for off season. But I made a reservation for my 21st birthday still. Showed up and it was closed. EXTREMELY LAME!
On our trip to Vail we decided to try out Yama Sushi. We didn’t have a reservation, but the host (wish I had got his name) said no problem & told us to sit at the bar. The staff are hands down incredible & friendly!
We enjoyed our conversation with one of the sushi chefs (Cesar).
Everything we ordered was delicious (wish I had got photos).
A wonderful experience here! Would definitely come back if we are in Vail.

Ir was not our first time there and we used to like the place specially for the price and food...... Yesterday the food was not good and it was really expensive everything! Nigiris are not special and the cost of them are very high of you compare them with a good sushi place! We won't go back.......

As exquisite as ever! Yama was the perfect birthday dinner for my wife... The food is exceptional in its design, preparation, and presentation. And, the kitchen crew is super accommodating for dietary limitations. So appreciate their help. It's the first time we had Martina as our server and she was delightful. Look forward to seeing her again. And, as always, the conversation with Patrick was soul-nourishing.
The quality of the special rolls was average and the prices, though probably related to the rental costs for Vail village, were a good bit more than other cities. We waited longer than expected even though we arrived at 5:30. We came for dinner here after reading an article in Vail daily. The article, from our perspective, over rated this establishment.
Yama is our family favorite sushi place and has become a tradition whenever we are all in town. The staff are fun and professional. The menu is really unique and the quality of the food is top notch. We love the small well done interior and fun vibe. The addition of outside dining is the perfect spot to people watch and view town of Vail with a stunning backdrop of the Gore Range mountains.

This is our third time at Yama, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently good, the options are varied and the service and ambience (central Vail) is very pleasant. I find this to me at par with the other prestigious Japanese restaurant in Vail.
The Yuzu Kanpachi, Boom Boom Roll, and spicy edamame were our favorites! Attentive and friendly staff, energetic ambience, and even though it started raining halfway through our dinner we still got to enjoy sitting outside for a bit!
