Sam's Gyros & Kabobs in Woodland Park is the BEST & MOST AUTHENTIC food I've had since I've been back from the Middle East! It took me back to eating food in Iraq, Syria, and Jordan! This place makes me not want to tell people because I don't want not be able to get in next time! 😆”

“Roy's BBQ is exactly how a high Rocky mountain BBQ joint should feel and taste. Top of the line food, fast service, friendly staff, cozy restaurant, especially on a snowy day. This restaurant is in my top five favorites in Tower county for sure. ROY'S HAS THIS ROCKING GOOD HOME COOKED TASTE THAT WE KEEP COMING BACK FOR. “What an incredible evening spent here for our 16th wedding anniversary. Great local eatery in God's country serving up great bites in a great atmosphere. We left very impressed with this place. We don't eat out often, but when we do we like to be wowed and this place does that. Everyone was so disappointed following the loss of Swiss Chalet to the local community, but what a capable replacement. You must try it out.”

“After years of driving past, we stopped in for dinner. It's definitely not fancy, but the food was so good, and the prices were very reasonable for such large servings. We REALLY over-ordered but will enjoy all the leftovers! The soup was thick, hot, and spicy with rich flavor. The fried rice had large, tender pieces of chicken, but the peas and carrots were tough and seemed freezer-burned. The veggie egg fu yung was light and fluffy, covered with large strips of perfectly cooked veggies in a nice brown sauce - we've only had this dish with small pieces of veggies in with the egg, so we were pleasantly surprised. The Szechuan chicken was spicy and flavorful, with lots of broccoli and carrots. We will definitely return but will get take-out instead of dining in.

Vegetarian options: Peas and carrots were not good (frozen/freezer-burned?) but the other veggies seemed fresh and were plentiful.”

“What a charming little place! We found it last minute and so glad we did. It's nothing fancy at all but ok by us! The service was great and very friendly. The food tasted homemade. We both got Chicken fried steak breakfast and it was soo good! The gravy was great, bacon was good, everything was fast! Coffee kept coming and wasn't cheap and watered down. We were very satisfied walking out. Would definitely go back next time going through there. Definitely recommend!”

“I went to Java Haus this morning and wasn’t expecting much since most coffee shops make lattes that taste like dirt but this was by far the best Vanilla Latte I have ever had. And I drink a lot of coffee. I also had the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese sandwich which was equally great. The staff were so incredibly sweet and I will 100% be coming back.”

“Such a friendly experience here the other day. There was a wonderfully nice girl working (we didn’t get her name), she wasn’t even the one taking our order but she overheard us talking to the other girl working (who was also super friendly, asking us genuinely about our day), we were saying that we were just headed back from our day of adventures and were looking for a good place to catch the sunset. So not only were they just super friendly and gave a good recommendation for a sunset spot, but she actually ran back over just as we were about to drive away and gave us a whole list of spots to hit! You two were the sweetest and definitely helped make our trip out here memorable. Thanks so much “nameless” friendly baristas 🥰🙏🏻”

“Excellent food every time! I enjoy the service being a little less attentive so I can enjoy my meal with my loved ones, I don't feel ignored by any means. Seafood in the mountains can be scary but theirs is definitely fresh and delicious. Probably our favorite place in town. I could eat sushi until I explode but some of my favorite other dishes are Yaki Udon and Coconut Chicken. I have never had a bad meal there. I highly recommend them!”
