“Hiring Brasato means that you can put aside all catering worries for your special event. Everything, from the communication to the food itself, was immaculate for our wedding. Melissa is an incredible coordinator who will walk with you through the smallest details. Then, on the day, the whole team executes at such a high level. They were happy to work with us and our other vendors, down to asking where we would like the salt and pepper shakers placed on the tables we had decorated. They went above and beyond in every way imaginable, and again, the food was incredible. They even packaged up the leftovers for us to take home and enjoy in the following days. We’re only sad that our time working with Brasato is over because it was genuinely so enjoyable and collaborative. We couldn’t imagine a better catering option. If we could give them 10 stars we would!!“

“When planning for a wedding, I tried not to think about too many things that could go wrong by staying up to date with my to-do lists and staying in touch with vendors. ZCatering proved to be our worst wedding decision. While the food and service on the day of were excellent and received high remarks, the process of working with Zcatering was horrendous. From lack of response to rude management, we found the lack of professionalism to be shocking for a company with generally good reviews. Our management team either ignored our messages or made false claims and later billed us for mistaken headcount (and still will not reply to messages asking for that money back.) During our tasting, they accused us of being late, refusing to see the email verification we had of the date and time (we were actually minutes early). Not once did the manager apologize for how we were treated or acknowledge wrongdoing on their behalf. Then began the lack of communication. Then, the day before our wedding (!!) when I had still not heard back, our scheduled coordinator said she was out of state and would have a replacement handling our day-of catering. I was absolutely outraged by the lack of communication and the last minute change without any notice (had I not phoned nonstop). I cannot recommend Z Catering whatsoever. The food and wait staff may be great, but it is not worth the headache and stress and disrespect we dealt with leading up to our wedding. (Not to mention they still owe us money.) so disappointing.“

“Great ice-cream and friendly staff. I was here for their free cone day to benefit MS. There was a very long line but some of the staff was outside offering samples so it was kind of fun. Everyone was in a good mood and chatting. Staff passed out lists of flavor offerings so people could get in and out quickly. The line did move steadily. There was also a fabulous face painter there for the kids and a musician performing outside. We'll done!“

“I need to stress to those who are checking reviews to check how long ago they were written, because we've been going here for about a year and everything is phenomenal. I assume based on other reviews that her name is Valentina - INCREDIBLE. She was working all alone this morning, and the customers just kept on coming in - and she kept doing what she does with a smile. She's always so incredibly kind, thoughtful, and clearly has quite a few regulars because she looked up multiple times to acknowledge those she knew, and orders she memorized from multiple interactions. I come here because of her - I cannot thank her enough.“

“Overall, Ben & Jerry’s is a great spot to stop by for a scoop of ice cream! it’s been a staple of W. Hartford Center for many years now, and I’m grateful that it’s maintained such a long-term presence. The staff are always friendly, kind, and very efficient! The price is a little steep, but so is everything in West Hartford these days.

Overall, there’s a good selection of ice cream! I consume only dairy free ice cream, and usually they will have at least 2 to 3 flavors. The selection of dairy ice cream flavors is more expansive, and they truly have something for everyone in terms of taste. Their shakes and smoothies also looked delicious as well!

Unfortunately, the line is usually extremely long in the summer. The last time I was there, in late June, the line stretched all the way out the door. There were only two employees working, and they seemed quite young. They were doing a wonderful job, but it looked like a lot to juggle. In the warmer months, it may be helpful to staff more people due to the sheer volume.

I wanted to mention something that occurred at my last visit that concerned me. The line was extremely long. The couple in front of us had two medium-large sheepdogs. The dogs were extremely anxious and nervous being in such a long line and in a small and cramped space. They were clearly not doing well. A staff member kindly asked the couple to bring the dogs outside. They were obviously not service dogs as they had no vest or badge and were clearly not trained to be calm in stressful situations. The couple then proceeded to lie and say they were service animals. The staff dropped it, but I feel that a sign may be helpful for the front door stating service animals only. It was uncomfortable to see these dogs in distress in such a small shop, they were whining and very anxious.
