I’m an extremely picky eater and absolutely loved everything we got. This is also the first place I’ve been in a long time that actually had good salmon. They’re homemade dressing and marinate is so unique we went back in to buy a bottle after trying it with the complimentary salad we were given. 10/10 would go again!“

He had the pork chop meal, I had the beef pho and spring roll and the ice coffee was fantastic!!! The mango tropical drink was awesome. Highly recommend!!! “Ajamo is a solid lunch spot in Hartford. I long for the days when the food court was packed with options, and I’m happy to see this place is one of the great food stands that are still going strong at the State House. They serve very fresh salads at generous proportions and have good sandwiches as well. The only critique I’d have is that their lettuce/kale, roasted chicken, and other ingredients are in large chunks and they don’t provide a knife to cut it in smaller pieces. Their flavors are great, but it would be great to have a grilled chicken option in addition to the roasted.“

The males, are on the rude side....one time throwing steak knives across the table when we requested them to cut our steaks. Every time we dine here, I am so annoyed with the lighting. Fluorescent lighting in a fine dining establishment is the worst. Please...please ...please put in recessed lighting that can be dimmed to make for a romantic dining experience.“

“If you’re looking for Mexican food on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington, you have choices. If you want to sip margaritas out of a fish bowl and guacamole made table side then Puerto Vallarta and Azteca might be for you. If you want fast food from chain restaurants then there’s Chipotle and Moe’s. But if you’re looking for the best authentic Mexican fare the Berlin Turnpike has to offer, look no further the Salsa 4 Taqueria! It’s a hole in wall that you would drive by if you weren’t looking for it. I had beef empanadas, a trio of tacos, el pastor, pork belly, and deep fried shrimp. I’ve never been to Mexico but I imagine this is what I would get on the streets there. Be prepared to wait for your food. Empanadas are made to order and the corn taco shells are pressed and cooked to order with a choice of soft or crunchy! The el pastor was very flavorful, pork belly with a nice char on the outside melts in your mouth, the batter fried shrimp were large and delicious, shredded beef in the empanadas was braised to perfection! Sorry for the lack of pictures, I dug in before it crossed my mind. Yes, it’s that good!“

“This place punches way above its weight in taste and quality ingredients. I was blown away with the delicious delicate flavors or the lard nar and the perfectly crispy tofu. The coconut soup was a surprise winner with fresh veggies, white meat chicken, a little bit of heat and lime citrus in a fantastic coconut milk broth. The place is small and clean with the friendliest and attentive staff. Lunch specials were a great deal with the soup included. Kudos to the hidden gem of its easy parking!“

Infinitely higher quality than chipotle at a similar cost. Of note, my burrito was a little on the liquidy side, which made it slightly messy.
