“I’m a frequent guest at the Chopt in Bishop’s Corner, and it has become one of those places that is genuinely worth the drive from Southington. I brought my mom there recently for her first visit, and she was more than satisfied too.

The restaurant is consistently clean, including the restrooms, and I have never had trouble finding a place to sit. The staff is always friendly and courteous, and they keep the line moving without making the whole thing feel rushed. Online orders have also been ready promptly in my experience. If you are new to Chopt or not quite sure how the ordering process works, the staff is happy to walk you through it or explain the different options without making you feel like you should already know what you’re doing.

The salads are huge, the food is consistently good, and it is a healthier option than most places in the fast-casual category. This is coming from someone who never really understood the point of salad, let alone salad as an actual meal. Chopt changed that for me.

The drink selection is another plus. Instead of the usual wall of sodas, they offer iced teas, lemonades, and other drinks that tend to be on the lighter side, often with some less-common flavors. My personal favorite is the Strawberry Squeeze Chiller.

My mom enjoyed her first visit. Chopt has become a regular stop for me because the food is dependable, the portions are substantial, the place is clean, and the service is consistently pleasant and efficient.“

“My neighbor mentioned to me that he and his wife were going to lunch at Pete’s and said he was bringing his in laws. He and his in laws raved about the food. My neighbor said the roast beef (made in house) grinder was amazingly great. That’s my favorite, so I stopped by Pete’s a couple days ago and got the roast beef grinder with provalone cheese, mayo, roasted and banana peppers, shedded lettuce and tomato. It was sooo good that I had to go back in to let them know. Come to find out Pete’s dad made me the grinder. What a nice man!!! Talked to him for a few minutes. “We are good customers that come to the Rocky Hill Salad bar at least a couple times per week. The staff is wonderful, the service is wonderful and most days, the burritos are delicious. Our issue is with consistency. We took off one star on the service because of the lack of consistency. We go for the fresh food served daily. However, when it comes to the "building of the burritos" we can usually tell who has made the burrito because today, for instance, it was so skimpy, I question about going back because it makes us so mad when we get these barely filled burritos. I want to say, the majority of the time, we praise this place, we highly recommend them, because the food is so fresh and tasty and USUALLY, the burritos are bursting at the seams. It all depends on who makes your meal. Today's burritos (all of them) were extremely skimpy. For the amount of money we spent, we don't expect to end up hungry after eating our meal. Like I said, normally we are very satisfied, but someone there (according to all of us) that is known for skimping on the meal. Today was that day. We were all dissatisfied with our burritos. The picture shows the middle of a meat burrito that is suppose to have meat in it, but you can barely see a drop of meat. Normally it's big and fat, today it was like eating a flat lettuce and tomato sandwich.“

“If you’re looking for Mexican food on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington, you have choices. If you want to sip margaritas out of a fish bowl and guacamole made table side then Puerto Vallarta and Azteca might be for you. If you want fast food from chain restaurants then there’s Chipotle and Moe’s. But if you’re looking for the best authentic Mexican fare the Berlin Turnpike has to offer, look no further the Salsa 4 Taqueria! It’s a hole in wall that you would drive by if you weren’t looking for it. I had beef empanadas, a trio of tacos, el pastor, pork belly, and deep fried shrimp. I’ve never been to Mexico but I imagine this is what I would get on the streets there. Be prepared to wait for your food. Empanadas are made to order and the corn taco shells are pressed and cooked to order with a choice of soft or crunchy! The el pastor was very flavorful, pork belly with a nice char on the outside melts in your mouth, the batter fried shrimp were large and delicious, shredded beef in the empanadas was braised to perfection! Sorry for the lack of pictures, I dug in before it crossed my mind. Yes, it’s that good!“

“I’m not sure why there’s poor reviews here. My wife and I went one time and had a great experience. So we will try it more and update our review, but so far we had a fantastic experience. The food was amazing, and I do remember the person preparing our food was very kind and polite. We sat outside and I do remember they had a nice option of low sugar / no sugar added iced teas and lemonades.

We enjoyed the food here so much we started copy catting it at home. The pickled red onions, sweet potatoes, and sauces in particular were so good!“
