In order to compete for customers in a very competitive market you must be intelligent, creative and tenacious. Leroy has that X- Factor which has kept him in the lead for decades. Everyone I know that craves that Jamaican vibe along with the flavors that go with it always highly recommend ROOTSMAN. Long time residents of Bpt, who have relocated to towns up north, still take the drive to feast on Leroy's Pepper Steak, Oxtail, Jerk chicken, Curry Goat, Curry Chicken etc.
I personally feel that ROOTSMAN is the epitome of how meats should be prepared. Melt-in-your-mouth like hot butter on pancakes. Succulent, juicy, tender and so flavorful you'll wish your portion never ends! I hope my visits to ROOTSMAN never end either!“

“Honestly the women who I assume owns it sense she’s always there, might be the most wholesome pleasant person I’ve met. Quick to draw you in with conversations and home vibe she puts into her restaurant. You can taste the pride in the food. Eye popping proportions too. Love this place“

“I love their Fried chicken every single time I go I get fried chicken with oxtail gravy! When I have events I order their fried chicken as well that’s how much I love it! I can’t speak for anything else but they’re fried chicken, it’s consistently juicy and not dry each time I’ve gone so I stick to it! And their rice is so airy and fluffy, not sure how they do it, but it’s good!“

“There are no fillers or junk just natural fruits and vegetables. Each order is made right there and then. I honestly don't know how this place makes any money they do not skimp on anything. If you are impatient or in a big hurry, don't go here but if you want quality product.
You have to wait your turn. Sometimes the wait is up to 20 minutes. It is not a fast food place.It's a high quality real juice bar With no pre made mixes. They don't fill your cup with ice either.It's just juice or smoothies made of vegetables Or fruits there are supplements if you want.It's a wide variety and reasonable price. They also have vegan ice cream and veggie jamaican patties. Parking is difficult if you don't pre plan.Or know the neighborhood, There.
Is a little counter. You can eat at but mostly it is takeout. This place is in one in a million gem. If you like healthy real food it's always fresh and you will not be disappointed. Absolutely love this place“
