“I love and support Cravin resturant because its authentic and I myself am Jamaican. However the service is slow and the ladies ringing people up are young and dont seem to want to work there. There was 2 people in the whole place when I went and waited nearly 10 minutes to just ask if they had something and waited again as one girl bagged and the other chatted. In all I left without getting food because I refused to wait any longer just to order... This is an in and out City and the service should match. I will still go to this place...but i will order ahead and hopefully my experience will be different“

“This is strictly take out. I absolutely enjoy their food however I avoid going there because the staff is SO abrupt and nasty!! I mistakenly called a “lunch special” size a “small” and got snapped at!! There is no need for this behavior. Others have complained about the staff so obviously, management is not interested in correcting it. It is a shame because we really love the food, especially the soups and patties. The quantity is plentiful and the quality is good but I like to get courtesy where I spend my money!“

“We shared a GUACAMOLE with plantain chips. It was fresh and flavorful. I had the FAROE ISLAND SALMON. The salmon was flavorful and well done on the outside and moist on the inside. My husband enjoyed his medium CHURRASCO 14OZ. The drinks were strong 💪. I recommend this place. I enjoyed the old school salsa music.“

“The food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. My favorite dish is the steamed snapper,it’s consistently delicious and one of the best I’ve had. The tacos are also excellent and definitely worth ordering.

“I came here twice and I must say that the curry goat and fried chicken is the best. I order a medium curry goat with white rice and a side of fried chicken. 10/10. But for $26?! The issue is that you can’t really get what you want. Hear me out for example… you can’t get a small order of oxtail….like?! You can only get a medium size with a side. It’s overpriced. Just by looking at it I can tell it’s not even worth the price. Also if you get like a medium size meal with any meat and rice you can’t get it with plantain. It’s extra charge. BUT I WILL SAY THAT THE PORTION IS WORTH IT. THEY GIVE MORE. I’ve tried the Mac and cheese and it was baaaadd. Just cheese and unseasoned roux. That’s if they use roux. It’s oily and you can’t even see or smell a spec of seasoning. Taste like a sweet treat no shade. The fried chicken though I give that 15/10. Tastes better than Kennedys. The goat meat falls off the bonnnneeee. The rice is perfect; not too mushy and not too rough. I’m on my way there right now😂😂. Is it worth trying? Hell yeah. The Mac and cheese though.. that’s to your advantage.“

“Very good food, drinks (descent) and atmosphere. The owners are friendly and will accommodate you as much as possible. I remember my very first time going there it was my 2018 2nd Masters Graduation celebration. The owner surprised me with a nice setting with tables and covered chairs, great lighting and the aviance was breathtaking. My guest, family and I thought it was quite impressive. The prices are reasonable as well.“

“I am neither friend nor family, I am a customer who has never been disappointed with the food. I had them catered for my son’s graduation party yesterday and everyone at the party said the food was delicious. I barely got anything to take home. You know the food is good when there’s no leftovers. I will definitely continue to support this restaurant.“

“Went there as I was catching a show across the street. Nice small place with cozy atmosphere. There was seating inside and outdoors. My wife and I started off with a chicken and beef empanada. The filling was delicious and the outside was flaky and light. Delicious empanadas. For our main course my wife had the Cubano and I had the Classic 55 Burger. My wife got sweet potato fries with hers and I got regular seasoned fries. The Cubano was a nice size portion. My wife really enjoyed it And enjoyed the sweet potato fries. The burger I had was absolutely delicious and the french fries were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The price was definitely reasonable for what we ate. And I did not leave hungry. It was just enough. Definitely a place worth stopping at again and having a couple drinks and some nice food. Also, our server was great. Nice to talk to and very attentive.“

“Seriously everyone knows that you can't order ackee and saltfish from just anywhere. I even did doordash. The food was as if they served me from the pot . The sweetest bananas on the side . Not salty and so much flavor. fresh fresh fresh . I had to call and thank them . my morning was going bad until I ate my lovely breakfast. even though they didn't see me they sent my food with love. the plate was packed too . so full , saving the rest for lunch“

“I visited this place twice and enjoyed the food on both occasions. On my first visit, I had the rice and peas and jerk chicken, which was solid. On my second visit, I tried the rice and peas and kingfish, which was also good. However, the price of the kingfish seemed a bit high for the portion size.

Macaroni looks appealing, but it wasn’t very good. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Dumplings are good.

“Food is absolutely delicious!!! Need catering? Inquire about special entrees. Food never disappoints. The best Guyanese restaurant food I've had. They also have fresh tennis rolls, pine tarts, solara & cheese rolls. Jerk chicken empanadas are amazing!!! Order ahead cuz they do get busy! Take out only. They do have a sitting area if you want to sit and eat, but not an early in restaurant.“

“First let me see that I am always purchasing food from Cravin Mt. Vernon, and I am always satisfied until yesterday. The reason for the 4 stars is because my food had mostly saltfish and no ackee. If I'm paying $18 for ackee and saltfish, I would like to see my meal to match the price, which it didn't. There need to be a balance.“

“Was there Saturday night with my family. Food was excellent - we had oxtails, jerk salmon, jerk chicken, brown stew chicken, plantains, rice and peas and homemade ginger beer. We managed some leftovers and they were gone by the next morning! We also took home beef patties for a party and all were devoured and greatly enjoyed by the guests. Staff is great, very friendly.
