Trattoria 'A Vucchella & Wood Oven Pizza

This is a wonderful and authentic Italian trattoria we keep returning to. Last night the service and our server in particular was unusually harried (rushed) and disorganized and I hope the owner takes care not to let that happen again. Otherwise I highly recommend it.

The seating in the bar/lounge area is so cozy — benches with pillows by the windows. The calamari was the best I've had in a long time. The papperdelle ragu is exceptional (homemade pasta). My only regret is that I forgot my leftovers! Highly recommend!

Beautiful and charming Italian restaurant in historic downtown Bridgeport. Delicious pasta, seafood & pizzas. Antipasto is exquisite!

The food was delicious, and the service was wonderful. It's a perfect place to go especially if you are going to The Bijou Theater. We'll definitely be back.

Always great food and service. All food is made to order and very fresh. All pasta selections are house made and terrific. Staff is always friendly and polite.

We have enjoyed dining here a number of times before going to the Bijou Theater. The food is very good. The entire staff is very friendly and does an excellent job. Highly recommended.

This was our first time at Trattoria 'A Vucchella. We found it on Opentable and it was rated high and I can agree why now! We were greeted as soon as we entered. We were seated promptly on the patio and our waiter came right over. We had a pizza as an appetizer and it was delicious. Then 3 out of the 4 of us had rigatoni and meatballs and the meatballs were just like my MIL's! So good. Prices were very reasonable and staff was so friendly. Highly recommend!

Had a delicious dinner with my family. Everyone enjoyed their choices. We had a celiac person, so gluten free was necessary. We called ahead and were told no problem. Absolutely true!

Place was rocking with the Theatre crowd. Service keep it flowing. The food as fantastic. Had a beautiful dinner with friends. Food drinks and wine all flowed. Ate outside for the first time in years. beautiful evening. Chef Pasuale has this worked out and fine tuned.

This place is amazing! There are few that are better! Our server, Mel, was simply outstanding and the food fine to perfection. Can't wait to go back!
