Trattoria 'A Vucchella & Wood Oven Pizza

Overall outstanding experience, from the wait staff to the wonderfully prepared authentic Italian cuisine, everything was wonderful. The pasta's were fresh and bursting with flavor. The chicken marsala was expertly prepared in a wine sauce with fresh mushrooms. The tiramisu had clear notes of espresso, totally amazing!

What a terrific place. The food is awesome, the staff is so friendly, and the prices are reasonable for the quality of the food.

Food was great, service great, food amazing. I asked not to be seated on the patio, but was. It was a bit too cool, but was definitely quieter! It was our 4th time there...so we love it!

Everything was perfect. The food was delicious, our server was fabulous and prices were fair. My only complaint is the noise level is quite high. We had a wonderful dinner.

Enjoyed a evening at the Bijou then came across the street. The place was packed but owner went out of his way to accommodate us and glad he did. The cavatelli n sausage was very good but my wife’s gnocchi’s were homemade and amazing- if you love fresh pasta make this place a go to place in Bridgeport- staff was extremely friendly

We stopped in for a quick meal before going to the theater across the street. We were seated quickly out in the patio area, which was lovely. They were very attentive despite us being out of sight. Had water, wine, bread within minutes. Arugula beet salad was fantastic, how was the Bolognese. Will definitely go back!

We have been several times in the past and have enjoyed it every time. We enjoyed this time for a birthday celebration and the service and food did not disappoint. Some of our faves were the meatballs in the meat sauce, chicken Milanese, and the spumoni tartufo. Will be back.

Great experience with a friend who I hadn't seen in a long time. Delicious pasta dish and a great desert experience. Love the ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant and the lovely decor. Wonderful evening!

I was there for lunch about a month ago.
I liked the interior design of the restaurant, a nice cozy atmosphere.
The service was fast and friendly.

A great place for a family dinner, meeting with friends for lunch or just a cup of coffee, as well as for a romantic dinner.
I liked everything.

I was a little disappointed with the Pasta Carbonara, the taste was great, but a little too salty.

Our servers were lovely and did their best, but the kitchen was slow and the food was uneven. My husband and son had the pizza which they were disappointed in. They said the crust wasn't crispy and the toppings lacked taste. I ordered gluten-free pasta and what came out was not gluten-free. I waited 30 minutes for the gluten free dish to come out and it was over salted. I hope our experience was the exception and not the norm.

Small authentic Italian restaurant, somewhat of a little secret.
Food is absolutely delicious. Menu is just the right size for everyone to find something they like. Homemade pasta, wood fired pizza, and kitchen dishes you won't necessarily find elsewhere.
Service is friendly.
They have a small outdoor seating area off the street.
Street parking is usually available and only a $ per hour or so, with meters.

We were a party of 6 who are big foodies and love Italian food. This place has it all and does it with real class! Loved every dish drink and dessert. An amazing relaxing dinner with great waiter.

We have been to this restaurant dozens of times and never left disappointed.
Our visit this time was not the case.
We had reservations for 4 and we were seated outside.at a corner table. There was a ceiling fan that was on but nevertheless, it was hot and stuffy, very uncomfortable!

We ordered salads and entrees and the entrees came out before we finished our salad . My dish was a pasta beef special and was very bland and watery. Another seafood special was overcooked.

I a hoping that this was just one of those days snd that if we visit again, everything will be up to their usual high standards!
