Highly recommend this place for a nice dinner before a concert at the Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater. It's a 15 minute walk from the Amphitheater parking lot

Hard to find authentic Italian with good food and service. This place hits all the marks. I love the personal care Emiliano showed as well. Pauline our server was so kind and amazing as well. We loved our corner table as well. Thanks for a great experience on our special night!

OMG the only place with outdoor seating in the area where I could bring my dogs and have lunch with my brother that lives a block away! Our waitress was so accommodating.

Food was fantastic and arrived very quickly. All of the staff were incredibly friendly to us. Restaurant very much has an old school Italian vibe to it and at least some of the staff speak the language and said goodbye in Italian when we left. I hope this place sticks around for a long, long time.

I've been dining in at Trattoria for about 2 years now, several dinners, a couple of lunches.

The food, service, specials, always deliver. Fresh ingredients/dishes, good portions, warm, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Good cocktails, wines and desserts. Suitable for all group sizes. I would describe the ambiance as intimate. You can hold a conversation without raising your voice or struggling to hear another person talking.

The only room for improvement I'd recommend, updating their online menu prices.

I called in a lunch order for pickup. When I arrived for pick up I noticed my bill was slightly higher than expected.

The Pappardelle Funghi is priced at $22 online, however I was charged $25. Not a big deal, but expectations matter.

We visited after a show at nearby theatre. Started with mussels appetizer and shared with my husband. I had gnocchi with crabmeat and my husband had pork shank. Both meals were excellent and we have some leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Topped the meal with Supmone gelato and big enough to share. Very delicious. Service was excellent and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended this restaurant!

Outstanding service, Melissa and Mel were attentive, accommodative and patient. Food and desserts are excellent. Please note portions are on the smaller side so if hungry, order appetizers.

Authentic Italian restaurant. Wonderful wine list that is very reasonably priced. Margherita pizza for an appetizer and penne braciole for entree were amazing. My new go to for Italian dining.

The food was amazing!! I had the gnocchi sorrentina and the tiramisu. The gnocchi were soft and light and the sauce was fresh and delicate. The tiramisu was so delicious! My friend had the lasagna and the cheesecake. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce again was amazing, and the cheesecake was better than any he has ever had. The service was impeccable!! Our server, Emiliano was extremely attentive to anything we needed. A gem in the heart of Bridgeport!! We will definitely be back next time we are in town for a concert!

Disappointed in their service as they are very unwelcoming if you don’t fit a certain look.

If you’re thinking about visiting this place, do yourself a favor and don’t.

My husband and I were outright refused service and told the bar was “fully booked” despite the fact that only two people were sitting there. Two. The explanation was not just unconvincing; it felt completely dishonest. Instead of transparency, we were given an excuse that made absolutely no sense and left us feeling brushed off and unwelcome.

What truly stood out was the attitude. There was zero professionalism, zero courtesy, and not even the smallest attempt to handle the situation respectfully. No apology, no effort to accommodate us, no basic customer service, just a cold, dismissive refusal delivered as if we were an annoyance for simply walking in. The interaction felt rushed and rude, as though customer experience was the last thing on their minds.

Hospitality is supposed to make guests feel valued. This experience did the exact opposite. It was rude, uncomfortable, and honestly embarrassing to be treated that way in a place that claims to serve the public. We left feeling confused and disrespected, questioning how a business can operate with such little regard for basic manners or professionalism.

What’s most frustrating is that situations like this could easily be handled with kindness and clear communication. A simple explanation or even basic politeness would have gone a long way. Instead, the staff chose indifference, which says a lot about how customers are viewed here.

First impressions matter, and this one was unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. If this is how they treat potential customers before they even sit down, it doesn’t inspire confidence in how they treat the people who actually stay.

There are countless bars and restaurants that actually appreciate customers and know how to treat people with respect. Spend your money somewhere that values your time, your presence, and your business because this place clearly doesn’t.
