While in Canton, the five of us were pretty hungry. We stopped at the Saybrook Fish House for a dinner. If it's not obvious by the name, on what type of food they specialize in here, it'll be obvious as soon as you step inside, this place is fully decorated with fish everywhere. We ( a family of four with a 7 and 8 year old) went for a drive Saturday. We ended up at the Saybrook Fish House in Canton for an early dinner on our way home! What a delightful find! The staff was welcoming, attentive and courteous. Our waiter suggested the stuffed scrod! Wow he was so right! Delicious. I was out running errands & found that I was really hungry, so stopped in to have some lunch. Had a hot lobster roll with fries & cole slaw. It was the best! Even had a slice of cantaloupe, honey dew & a pickle. As good as all this was, the server, Alize, was truly amazing! On her own, with a mostly full dining room, she was calm, patient, diligent, competent -- and service was fast! So extra ordinary!Kudos to the kitchen staff, too, cause they must have been just as amazing.
