“We found Butcher Bros on a random google search and are so happy we did! It was a great way to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday! We had a large group and they put us in a room that we basically had to ourselves. It was a great experience from atmosphere to food! Thank you so much!!“

“This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I met Counter Weight numerous times during beer festivals, but never understood their appeal to the public. It was until I visited the brewery.

First things first, the brewery occupies a big building and has an enormous space. The first floor is sectioned into 3 rooms, allowing for some privacy should you plan any events. There's also a patio, where the majority during our visit were the dog owners, and a 21+ game zone with some field games. They also have space on the second floor, but I did not go there. The brewery partnered with Ritual Pizza as their kitchen. We ordered a pizza and chicken tenders, and everything was delicious. The whole place was packed on Saturday evening.

Now, for the beers. This brewery specializes in 2 directions: traditional European beers and IPAs. As I'm not a big fan of IPAs, I was focused on the European styles during my visit. You cannot order beer flights here, but they can provide a short pour (10oz) of any beer with a limit of one short pour at a time. I tried many of Counter Weight beers before, but still their lineup was almost completely new to me, so my guess is that the beers are rotated often. I was able to try 5 beers during my visit. My absolute favorite was Grodziskie - a traditional 3.5% smoked wheat beer, which is incredibly hard to find in CT. But in general, I loved everything I had - Vienna Lager was rich in taste, Ein Helles was a direct hit in the style, and so on.

I'm pretty impressed by the quality of the beers produced here. If you're a fan of European beers, this should be a stop on your journey.“

The service was amazing, the gentleman behind the counter was one of the nicest I’ve come across. He was prompt and attentive and kept a smile on. “What a magical experience! My group of 7 tucked away in a beautiful corner of the shop and enjoyed pot after pot of tea. The owners were so accommodating and advised us on different teas we might enjoy. “This is my second five star review of the month. If you know anything about my reviews, you know that I’m pretty strict with how I review my food choices. Was going by this place at 6:30 AM and greeted with a very kind and happy person.The manager or owner was super friendly with me, explained everything to me and even gave me a few toppings on the house because it was my first time. I got an açai bowl that knocked my socks off. It was full of great granola and seeds and peanut butter. I couldn’t have asked for a better breakfast. And top it all off. They had great strong coffee. I’m super happy with the experience I had at blend healthy spot. I will definitely highly recommend this to anyone that’s looking for a great healthy alternative for breakfast.“

“Staff could not be more pleasant and polite. I love that it’s on the quiet side compared to a place like Starbucks. We come to Lions Den often even though it’s quite a distance from our residence. Coffee is great!“

“Great spot to grab some excellent beer from a variety of onsite brewers. Great model to help smaller brewers get things started, but more so a really fun taproom and biergarten. Nice open space with comfortable couches and bar seating. A few tables inside as well but a ton of seating on a deck and at patio tables inside the parking lot. Hard to say what they specialize in since the breweries and styles change, but my favorites are hazy IPAs and imperial stouts, and they are amazing here from Abomination to Evil Twin to False Hope to Tox to Fat Orange Cat. Midweek pizza is available and it’s delicious. Weekends bring a food truck which as always can be hit or miss.“

“Great mom and pop poke, sushi, boba, teriyaki and more! Food is consistently good and they have a great variety of items to choose from. We always get ours to-go, but the restaurant has a decent amount of inside tables to eat that are clean. Nice cool air conditioning for a hot day. They also have tables outside. Our go-to spot for poke in Hamden.“

I especially loved No Straws Required-Raspberry ❤️ The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they're always happy to recommend a beer based on your preferences. “Factory Square is a huge old factory that was converted into a mixed-use space. Parking was free and plentiful; you have the option to park on street or in their huge lot. It's located on a paved bike trail too; the entrance by the bike path didn't have an elevator but on the side entrance, there was one. The space was spacious, loved the exposed pipes, bricks, and the historic feel.

There were a few businesses that we visited on this occasion. The first one was Perkatory Coffee for some caffeine; then Rosie's Royal chocolate for some sweets; then The Lab for lunch; finally, Witchcraft Brewery for a beer. Service from these places were great. There were tables and seats in the hallway you can dine and relax at. Other businesses include, a bakery, a pet shop, CrossFit, escape room, arcade, etc.

I think this is a great use of space and a fun spot to hang out at. I loved all the options there. I think they're constantly adding new businesses too. Overall, a fun spot and worth the visit!“

“Highly recommend this restaurant. The refried beans are made in house and the best we’ve had. The plates were authentic and transports you to Mexico. Definitely a meal we will be thinking about forever. Coco was our server and create a great atmosphere to compliment the food. You won’t be disappointed with this place!“

“Love love love this place. I have spent so many hours hanging out here. In the morning it’s so fun to come sit on the couch and read a book — the coffee is delicious! And the coffee menu is really cool and fun. Any latte here is a win. And Hanna is the most incredible and friendliest barista!! It’s also a really fun vibe in the afternoon to come for a beer and hangs. They have vegetarian options for food usually and a great food truck outside. “We have been on a year long pizza tour. This place is awesome. Best crunch so far.. and the sauce is amazing. My son and I bought 3 large regular pies not knowing that we should've probably ordered the mozzarella..but we ate a pie and a half between us, and then I brought some home and we finished it all .. I could have run 10 miles after it. Very light and enjoyable. We are coming back for the mozzarella!“

“No matter whether I’ve gone in person or ordered through door dash it has always been an enjoyable place to get food. I've gotten different protein bowls from them one I made myself and their special miso salmon. Both are so good and no matter who makes it, it is delicious and I enjoy getting it. After finishing my meal I am satisfied and the amount of rice mix with everything else is amazing. I also love going to the store and seeing the bowl made in front of me knowing the items are fresh and new everyday. I love this place and enjoy every bite of my bowls“

Really top notch imo. I had a snafu and forgot to add a topping on a gh order. They let me call in and modify and pay cash at pickup. They didn't want to take my money on arrival which was nice of them. Tip your people, everyone!

The slice was great. Big flop because it had toppings, but it held beautifully. Great char on the bottom and that razor thin apizza crust. Toppings up to the edge. Good pie. I don't think it's wood or coal fired, but the got the temp right in that oven for sure. Good fresh ingredients!“
