Lucky house (colchester) Reviews
I absolutely love their food, it’s always hot, flavorful. I’ve never had any complaint
Purchased the Singapore Chow Fun and Dragon and Phoenix. The chow fun had the right amount of spice, and was very good. The spicy shrimp in the Dragon and Phoenix is very good, the shrimp was perfectly done. The chicken was good, but not as good as the other dishes. Good value, will repeat.
I only order a small BBQ spare rib, and 3 out of 4 pieces were awesome, but the 4th piece was absolutely burnt and I was surprised to see it, I've worked in the food industry before and from personal experience I would never serve someone something that burnt. Just being honest. I took a picture of it but it won't let me add it here, but it was straight black and inedible.

Lucky House in Colchester offers a mix of experiences. While some found the food lacking, others enjoyed tasty dishes like the Fried Pork Dumplings, Singapore Chow Fun, and Spicy Hot Beef. The Singapore Chow Fun had the right amount of spice and was very good, while the spicy shrimp in the Dragon and Phoenix was perfectly done. The restaurant provides a clean environment and friendly service, with a nice lady who knows her customers by first name and engages with them. The food is cooked quickly, and generous portions are offered at a great price, although some feel that portions have been reduced while prices have increased. Despite this, the Happy Family was delicious and piping hot, and the fresh, crispy egg roll was a highlight. Parking may be a challenge, but the variety of dishes like Shrimp Dumplings and Soba Noodles make it a worthwhile Chinese takeout option.
