“Their menu is the star here. I’ve learned a lot. There are so many flavors, styles & combinations that you’ll probably discover something you’ve never had before, every time. For real, they have fake flavoring but their stuff is tasty. Service can be quite slow, especially when you’re not the only one there (ha), but this place will get you coming back because it’s that good and fun. If you’re really itching, order a hot dog at Toxic Wings connected to it while you wait. Come with patience and optimism if required. Worth a visit.“

“Bar Vida is for sure my favorite smoothie/juice place in the Fairfield County area! I highly recommend their Malibu smoothie which is strawberry-based (I usually add peanut butter to mine) and their immunity juices/shots which are cold-pressed and homemade with lemon, ginger, cayenne pepper, and apple. Once you have Bar Vida it's hard to go back to any other smoothie/juice place!“

Everything is fresh, the cashier passed fruit from the front back to the kitchen to make our crepe and the flavor is obviously an order of magnitude better than your average smoothie shop. “Wow, I never thought I’d live to see the day when I’d taste something so delightful! At 82 years old, I walked into Gofer Ice Cream, unsure what to expect. My good friend Andrew liebau insisted I try a “banana split”—said I’d been missing out all my life. Well, I’ll be darned if he wasn’t right.

The handsome young man behind the counter was patient as I squinted at the flavors, though I had no idea what “cookie dough” or “rocky road” meant. In the end, I picked vanilla—simple, safe. But the moment that first spoonful melted on my tongue, I understood why folks go on about this treat. It was creamy, sweet, and softer than I imagined, like a little cloud of happiness.

I sat by the window, savoring every bite, watching children run by with their cones dripping in the sun. Maybe I waited too long to have ice cream, but I can tell you this—it won’t be my last time. Five stars, with all the joy of a new discovery“

“The best pitaya bowl I have ever tried. SUPER FRESH. The fruit toppings were very fresh as well. Babies love it as well, just buy it without the toppings. The fresh mango they used for topping was the best I have ever had. I wonder where they buy their mangoes. Very convenient location, on the avenue. I put my pitaya bowl in the fridge overnight, as it was just as delicious de-frosted.“
