I ordered DoorDash delivery. The sweetheart roll was so cold, like it was stored in a fridge. I never had any sushi roll this cold. I don’t think it was freshly made. The lava cake was cold too. Calling a cold cake “lava cake” is misleading.

Honestly the prices here are ridiculous. I have never been charged $4.95 for a small soda!!!! It came in a small mason jar and I never even got a refill because the waitress never came back over to our table. I was blown away when I received the receipt. Also their rolls are small and the sushi taste just like anywhere else so why are they over charging for everything??? I got the 2 roll sushi lunch and my husband got the 3 roll sushi lunch. It’s came to $40! The service wasn’t even good on top of that. Won’t be returning. Go somewhere else and pay less for the same tasting sushi. I definitely recommend Japanica in Middletown.

I wish I wasn’t here to leave a negative review but my take out experience was so bad last night it felt necessary. I’ve ordered from mizzu many times and the food has always been great, last night my nephews normal spot was closed so I recommended this place only to get served the most bland take out hibachi I’ve ever had. We got a spicy tuna roll that tasted like nothing, the hibachi noodles rice and veggies had not a single seasoning, no garlic not even salt or pepper. You could tell how the food was going to taste before even opening the containers. I was so disappointed and my nephew said he’d never eat there again (he is 19). I’ve never had such bland food, I hope this improves or I’ll not be back either. The food is too expensive at hibachi restaurants to not be satisfied.

I’d love to change this review. We are there all the time, when the new owners are there it’s rad but when they are not there it’s terrible. We came in tonight for a quick sushi roll at 8:20 and they turned us away. I understand if we were trying hibachi but all we wanted was a sushi roll and they turned us away at 8:20 when they close at 9pm on Saturday!

Asian style restaurant. Food was fine but not well presented. Portions were good. No wait
for a blandish plate. Poorly organized wait staff. We were a large party and they were unable to serve a couple at our table for over twenty minutes.

Go if you are hungry... Don't expect flair or amazing choices.

We have ordered here many, many times before. My office has always loved their sushi/hibachi. However, the last few times we have ordered we have been less than impressed. They forget items in our orders continuously, a few of us ended up getting sick with different dishes on the menu at the same time. Hoping it is not going to be the norm because this was our go-to spot for lunch every week. Staff is and always has been very nice.

Ordered delivery from Mizzu today, overall the food is very mediocre. The sushi did not taste very fresh. It wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t good. I definitely did not find my self savouring every bite like I usually do with rolls. Pictures on uber eats of their sushi rolls are very misleading, do not be fooled. Far less fish is included in the rolls than the pictures show. Food was definitely not consistent with a 4.5 star google review average.
