Waffles near Cromwell, CT

“A number of people have raved about Mitchell's on Main. I have eaten at a Mitchell's before, but not this one. I have also eaten in the building housing this Mitchell's when it was a different breakfast place. Mitchell's is not fancy and offers reasonably priced breakfast options. We had a short wait for a table for 5 people on a Saturday morning. They managed the line well and service was pretty efficient once we were seated. I ordered a Sausage Egg & Cheese on an everything bagel. It was decent. The sausage was in link form, which is not ideal for a bagel sandwich. The cheese could have been a bit more melted. Nothing really stood out positive or negative otherwise. I also ordered a side of corn beef hash. It was a fairly standard version. It didn't pop for me, but it was fine. My son ordered a chili omelette with cheese and some veggies. He was thrilled with it. I had a couple bites and it was definitely the best thing I tasted that morning. The chili was sweet. Mitchell's is a fair breakfast spot, and when you factor in price, it certainly could be an appealing option for some people. I prefer other breakfast options within my driving radius. 3.5 Stars“

“We were looking for a new unique breakfast place during the week and found zinneken's. The music was very loud when walking in- perhaps to cover up the sounds of nearby construction noise. We were surprised that only bottled water was available instead of tap, but not a dealbreaker. The savory poached egg waffle was very nicely served and tasty. We didn't find the seating to be especially comfortable or spacious. The food was great, but overpriced as if it were a more inviting, nicer quality place.“

“I have literally passed by this place at least 10 to 15 times and never stopped by but today I was craving some Mac and Cheese and I didn't want to cook. I am happy that I stopped here. It's kinda hard to see from the road so slow down when you are close.On first glance, the restaurant is spotless and the gentleman who was taking orders was very polite and very prompt with my order. ? The Mac and Cheese is very tasty and they have huge portions even for their sides which is a very welcome change. ? To be honest the only thing I would change about this place is that they put a sign out by the road so people don't drive past this gem. ? Keep up the good work guys, I definitely will be back. ?“

“I am a massive fan of fried chicken. I go to college right nearby and I just discovered this. Ive often gone to places like KFC to be disappointed by what i eat even though i love fried chicken. Here you get really good chicken that feels worth its price. I had the tenders which were freshly made and tasted really good. The fries are nicely seasoned and the sauce compliments the chicken. I will definitely come here when my spring semester starts up it is the best chicken I've had in years.“

Gino’s recipe for their Sicilian style pizza is not only flavorful, but never disappoints as the taste is consistent throughout each visit. To top it off, a slice of pepperoni or cheese cost 3$, and one slice is more than enough to satisfy. Definitely a recommendation to others.“
