The poke bowl looked beautiful, but the fish was bad and I picked out everything except the fish. I should have sent it back but I was with my friend who took me for my birthday and didn't want to make a big deal. The service was not great. I had to go up to the register multiple times to ask for water and someone to take our order.. There is no free water here btw... You have to buy a bottle. I was so stressed that I was asking the man too many questions so I ended up just keeping the poke bowl. Just uncomfortable and I don't think I will be back.

The food is quality ingredients and excellent pairings and tastes great. The owner is shockingly rude, outright telling us he didn't want us to sit in an empty restaurant, and did he didn't ask what we wanted on our bowl even though it says we can pick. As good as the food is, I refuse to recommend a place where the owner treats customers so poorly. Skip this place and find someone willing to honor the basic requirements of a business and customer relationship.

This was my third and last time I will ever go here. Each time I've gone was at lunch to get a poke bowl to-go. The guy behind the counter was the same every time. He is unpleasant and seems annoyed. (Despite his attitude I believe in 'kill em' with kindness.') The last time I was there was a year ago. (Price increase from about $14 to $19) and I was able to pick my items, as the sign indicates. This time the guy just started putting items into the bowl without asking what I wanted. If I'm paying $20 for a poke bowl, I would appreciate being asked. I was able to stop him when I realized and specify my last couple items. But when I requested a sauce he pointed to a sign that it would be an extra $2 because he had already put a sauce in there. Just a disappointing experience every time. I'd much rather give my business to the Poke House on Federal Road in Danbury. The customer service is totally opposite, very kind and accommodating.
