I came here for a light meal and was so so pleased with the flavor of the sushi, soup, and salad I had. The layout of the restaurant is aesthetic and thoughtful and it has a lovely atmosphere. Mostly, I was impressed by the flavor! Thank you!

This place is probably one of the best restaurants in Danbury/Brookfield/New Fairfield. The food is incredible, huge portions, gracious and generous owners, amazing kimchi—and I was stunned by how affordable and inexpensive it all is! My new favorite spot to send all my friends to. Bravo Maroo!

TERRIBLE POKE BOWLS - I’d swear they pulverize fish that is going bad, and then pour mounds of spicy sauce on it to mask any taste. Even the rice below the fish tasted slightly sour. We ordered two spicy tuna poke bowls to go,l ($20 a piece, plus I always tip even on takeout!) and they were basically inedible because of how much spice had been added to the tuna. We are both big spicy tuna fans and regulars. The fish had NO recognizable texture or taste or color left, because of what had been done to it to get it to its “spicy tuna” taste. When I called after we’d both tried to eat it, to explain our concerns and ask if perhaps they’d made a mistake or had an off day with their spicy tuna, they insisted that they ALWAYS sell very much spicy tuna, and how could they possibly make it less spicy?! It was revolting, and now I feel nauseous, hoping I don’t come down with food poisoning from the few bites I had. I suggested perhaps a voucher towards a future meal or refund might be fair, and he responded, “No! You canNOT return it!” And so our conversation ended.

Unfortunate encounter over soy sauce and spicy mayo. The only way for me to get it was to pre sauce my sushi and got told if I want more of either to hit the Chinese spot lol. Then when I asked for ginger he got upset and instead of just giving me a side he forced me into bringing my take out container to put it in there. I eat here all the time me and my spouse will spend 100 each just to try everything and not to mention all the people I recommended to try. To top it off he ends the encounter over 1 soy sauce and try’s to sell me a huge packet of soy sauce. Owner must not have been having a good day.

Everything was really good i was like homemade food, really fresh and tasty highly recomended the music and the environment was really calm! 😊
We ordered Korean pancakes, which were good. We also ordered sushi, which was average quality. It would be good if attention were paid to the interior of the restaurant, especially the cleanliness and appearance of the restrooms. Although, as I have noticed, most American restaurants do not pay that much attention to all this.

I can only speak about the food since I had delivery. I ordered the kimbop, futomaki, veggie bibimbop, beef dumplings, and the combo poke bowls. All of the food was quite good. Very tasty and fresh. I was happy to see the kimbop and futomaki rolls on the menu, items that you don’t frequently see in Danbury.

Me and my family love the Beef Bulgogi from Maroo. However, I’m always left disappointed with the subpar service. The gentleman consistently has an irritable edge and talks to me like I’m begging for free food. We pay an average of $80 each time we visit, and I always expect him to treat me with some decency, at the least, talk to me like a paying customer, but he’s always snippy and rude. I love the Beef Bulgogi so much that I keep coming back, despite the poor service. I think I’m going to part ways and take my business elsewhere. Somebody please let me know if there is another place in Danbury that makes good Bulgogi! I’m tired of feeling like an unappreciated customer.
