“I'm so glad my boyfriend made me go here. I thought it would be just like any walk in restaurant with mediocre food but I was so wrong! I’m an extremely picky eater and absolutely loved everything we got. This is also the first place I’ve been in a long time that actually had good salmon. They’re homemade dressing and marinate is so unique we went back in to buy a bottle after trying it with the complimentary salad we were given. 10/10 would go again!“

“This is one of my favorite places!! The food and drinks are amazing — the chopped salad is my go-to! They have tons of classes for all ages on top of being able to pop in and paint something any day of the week. They also have a small business market one weekend a month May-October with tons of awesome small businesses including jewelry, pottery, floral designs, stickers, paintings, soaps, teas and tinctures, permanent jewelry, clothing, candles and so much more. “Ajamo is a solid lunch spot in Hartford. I long for the days when the food court was packed with options, and I’m happy to see this place is one of the great food stands that are still going strong at the State House. They serve very fresh salads at generous proportions and have good sandwiches as well. The only critique I’d have is that their lettuce/kale, roasted chicken, and other ingredients are in large chunks and they don’t provide a knife to cut it in smaller pieces. Their flavors are great, but it would be great to have a grilled chicken option in addition to the roasted.“

“My neighbor mentioned to me that he and his wife were going to lunch at Pete’s and said he was bringing his in laws. He and his in laws raved about the food. My neighbor said the roast beef (made in house) grinder was amazingly great. That’s my favorite, so I stopped by Pete’s a couple days ago and got the roast beef grinder with provalone cheese, mayo, roasted and banana peppers, shedded lettuce and tomato. It was sooo good that I had to go back in to let them know. Come to find out Pete’s dad made me the grinder. What a nice man!!! Talked to him for a few minutes. The males, are on the rude side....one time throwing steak knives across the table when we requested them to cut our steaks. Every time we dine here, I am so annoyed with the lighting. Fluorescent lighting in a fine dining establishment is the worst. Please...please ...please put in recessed lighting that can be dimmed to make for a romantic dining experience.“

“If you’re looking for Mexican food on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington, you have choices. If you want to sip margaritas out of a fish bowl and guacamole made table side then Puerto Vallarta and Azteca might be for you. If you want fast food from chain restaurants then there’s Chipotle and Moe’s. But if you’re looking for the best authentic Mexican fare the Berlin Turnpike has to offer, look no further the Salsa 4 Taqueria! It’s a hole in wall that you would drive by if you weren’t looking for it. I had beef empanadas, a trio of tacos, el pastor, pork belly, and deep fried shrimp. I’ve never been to Mexico but I imagine this is what I would get on the streets there. Be prepared to wait for your food. Empanadas are made to order and the corn taco shells are pressed and cooked to order with a choice of soft or crunchy! The el pastor was very flavorful, pork belly with a nice char on the outside melts in your mouth, the batter fried shrimp were large and delicious, shredded beef in the empanadas was braised to perfection! Sorry for the lack of pictures, I dug in before it crossed my mind. Yes, it’s that good!“

“This is a small hole in the wall type of place which i love. I ordered chicken pad thai, shrimp fresh rolls(summer rolls) and tom kha gai soup. The summer rolls were very different from others I've had. It doesn't seem like they use butter lettuce for theirs as you can tell that they aren't very green. The peanut sauce was really thick and tasted a lot lighter than others I've had. It was okay. In terms of the tom kha soup. I feel like this is the thai version of french onion soup. Every place makes it different and some are really good and some aren't. This one was very basic. Onions regular button mushrooms, green peppers, and i think some ginger. Didn't taste any lemon grass or anything. It was still refreshing and good tasting, just not up there with some of the others I've had. The pad thai was decent, it does seem like they use tamarind paste which is traditional. The bad was it seemed pretty oily and the oil taste was pretty over powering. The boba tea was awesome! I had the brown sugar thai tea. Overall this was decent in terms of the food we had. Definitely worth a try. Thanks!“

“This restaurant is ADA accessible. The staff is always willing to assist if needed. Plenty of room to maneuver between tables.
Drive thru service is the best of all fast food restaurants. Food is always hot and freshly prepared.
The only negative of this Chick-fil-A is the congested parking lot. There are not many parking spaces available, and it is shared among 2 other restaurants.“

“Went here with my 12 year old son today. It was our first time trying Chick Fil A. It was a great experience. We were greeted immediately upon entrance by who I believe to be the owner. She was very pleasant and patient while we looked over the menu. The food came out only minutes after we sat down. While we were eating, a manager checked in a couple of times to make sure we were all set and had everything we needed. Overall a great experience and we look forward to returning soon!

Kid-friendliness: I did not realize before today that there was a play area for smaller children. When we go back I’ll be bringing my 4 year old to play.“

“This place has some really good food! The ingredients are fresh and flavorful. The queso and chips are so bomb! ordered a burrito bowl with everything but the kitchen sink in it! My meal was made with love by a very hospitable and accommodating staff named, Dorian. She was so sweet and super friendly. Very clean establishment. They have a wide variety of drinks and deserts as well. They even offer outdoor seating. Their dining room is super spacious too! Try it out!

“This dining spot is located in the Marriott Hotel on Day Hill Road. After work, my guest and I stopped in for apps and drinks. We enjoyed the Point Judith Calamari and the wings.
The inviting atmosphere and excellent service make this dining experience a plus for business travelers. The menu is a little pricey but not out of line for 4-star hotels.

“We came here on Sunday, January 26th, 2025.

We walked in, and Chavez greeted us immediately, seated us as soon as possible, and was a lovely gentleman to chat with while waiting. (We weren’t waiting long, but it’s always nice to be able to be personable with staff).

Austin, our server, was delightful to us and the rest of the customers he seated around us this evening. He was knowledgeable about the specials and other menu items. He made sure to check on us frequently, and brought us everything we asked for efficiently. (He recommends the Chicken Alfredo with extra crispy chicken and broccoli).

Our food couldn’t be described as anything less than amazing. Yes, it’s your “standard” Olive Garden food: the breadsticks, salad, pasta, etc. BUT, our salad was plated BEAUTIFULLY, and our food came out at the perfect temperature, and delicious.

I ordered the Seafood Alfredo, and he ordered one of the specials: The Three Meat Manicotti. My scallops and shrimp tasted fresh, and were seared carefully. The manicotti was beyond expectations, and very tasty.

Those things, and a couple Shirley Temples brought the total to $51.38 (with tax).

We had a wonderful dinner here today, and definitely recommend this location!

“Went in for the first time today we really enjoyed it. I had beef kebab and my friend got chicken kebab with all veggies and French fries. Everything was well prepared and tasted really great. We definitely returning. Very clean store and friendly staffs. Highly recommended. We love to support local businesses.
