“If you're ever in the New Haven East Haven area you need to come to Sandpiper restaurant it's directly across the street from the beach and it has an outdoor area with a roof over it so you can sit here even if it's raining and the staff is amazing The food is fantastic too You find it.“

“This restaurant was well worth the hour drive to get there. They served the best potato salad I have ever had - & trust me I have tried hundreds of them in my long life. The vegetable dinner option I enjoyed today was perfect. I highly recommend the cabbage, black eye peas, and Caribbean rice along with the amazing potato salad. And I must add that the moist, scrumptious, and famous corn bread couldn’t have been better. Sandra’s is a place I will return to. I’m a vegetarian newbie who’s grateful for the nutritious, delicious food and the sweet and friendly service at this gem of a place.“
