This is ( or was) my go to coffee stop every morning for the past 10 years. It is also my go to when meeting friends to catch-up. A relaxing unrushed atmosphere that in my opinion has THE ABSOLUTE BEST COFFEE in CT. Douwe & Egbert is the brand and is forever consistent since it's made by machine. A hidden gem. Named after the street where it is placed. Restaurant run by all women, makes a point to learn a lot from this gem. Funny comments on the board. Amazing service. Homemade bread which is the best I have ever tasted. This is kind of a restaurant which makes you to take a day off at work just to eat here. Yes they're open only on weekdays. Oh coffees are so good here

Fantastic breakfast place! The quality on the cook of everything we ordered was perfect. Definitely try the homemade cinnamon bread toast. My husband and I also really like how it's open at 6am, because we are such morning people. Since it's order at the counter, you can be in and out of there pretty quickly too! The decor is clean and simple.
