We dined here about 2 weeks ago. What a HUGE disappointment. My family has been visiting Abbott's in Noank CT every year since the early 1970's...unfortunately, all good things come to an end! The quality and consistency demanded by founder Ernie Abbott no longer exists. Don't waste your money...this place is terrible! The large lobster I ordered was simply not fresh. It probably was caught days earlier and just sat in their lobster tanks picking up the funkiness of the tank water. Not to mention that it was overcooked and rubbery. The lobster rolls we ordered were also extremely poor quality lobster. Perhaps the same problem as the whole lobsters we had...not fresh and tasting like the stale water in their holding tank. Awful!!
Lastly, the chowder was good, though could have been hotter. The steamers and mussels we had as appetizers were bad...full of sand!! This type of culinary neglect should not happen when a restaurant charges these premium prices! After 50+ years I am afraid to say that we have visited Abbotts for the last time. The current owners should change the name of this restaurant...they disrespect the memory of Ernie Abbott!

I love this place. The view is amazing. The food is great. They have one of the best clam chowders in town. I recommend you visiting here even if it's just to take pictures. They have adequate parking space.

Good lobster roll and shrimp tacos with a beautiful seaside view. Chowder was lukewarm and unimpressive

We ordered the New England seafood feast. I loved that it came out in stages, so everything was hot! (Accept the shrimp, that was chilled). Everything was cooked to perfection! We will definitely take this side trip again when we are down that way. Prices were very reasonable. There was both indoor and outdoor seating.

Fantastic experience here. First time at Abbott's (and first time in CT). Was really looking forward to warm lobster rolls on our vacation, and Abbott's did not disappoint. I got the one pound lobster roll and it was delicious. It came with chips and slaw. They also had a water cooler so customers could get free water with their meal if they wanted it. In addition, the scenery of the harbor was beautiful. Much better experience than the place in Guilford, CT! When we come back to CT, we will come back to Abbott's for sure. Thank you Abbott's for doing it right.

Was the 3 pound super select lobster dinner really 3 pounds ? $27. Lobster salad was extremely disappointing. Rethinking if we will return. It has been an annual trip for a couple of decades.

In the Orginal lobster roll, at Perry's, Milford CT, Abbott's uses a hamburger roll! 😍 Lassie's Restaurant, Milford Ct continues the tradition too. 💖

The place is nice to sit at with the nice water view, but the food just wasn’t good. It was odd to get a lobster roll on a hamburger bun. It also tasted like nothing had any form of seasoning. Should have been a tell tale sign when walking in and a customer said “don’t get the sandwiches theirs barely any meat” and they were right. The meat portions in the sandwiches were REALLY small compared to the bun. Just not good seafood 😕
