For years I would give the Seahorse a 5 star rating. Since it's closing in January 2020 I now drive by and reminisce.

A nice spot to grab a drink and seafood-- either at the bar, or next to the fireplace.

Down home kind of restaurant where the locals hang out as far as I can tell. Great seafood in a nice welcoming environment. And it stays open even in the off season when many other restaurants close.

We were visiting the area and decided to try Seahorse for dinner. We were very impressed with the casual atmosphere. The wait staff was very attentive and the food was wonderful.

We found this on Google and we're so happy we did! The restaurant had folks of all ages, and obviously repeat customers. We were seated by the owner and Lee, our server, was there right away. I had the lobster grilled cheese and, oh my, it did not disappoint. Lots of lobster, a super melty cheese and perfectly toasted. Gotta say the fries were great too. My husband had the fish and chips- very big portion, nice coleslaw too. We got water refills quite often (my pet peeve with restaurants when I have to ask). Lee told us they will only be the Seahorse until 12/31 so go NOW as the new owners may change the menu. BTW, the parking lot was full; always a great sign.

Went with some friends & it was ok. Fried calamari was tasty, as was a pasta special (cajun seafood alredo). I had the filet with scallops & it was just okay. The steak was cooked okay but was REALLY dry- it was as if it was cooked days ago & just reheated (pink in the middle, but no taste at all really). It needed a sauce or at least some butter. The scallops were delicious & I wish I'd just gotten a plate full of those. The dish also came with green beans, which were good & fingerling potatoes which were oddly undercooked & overcooked at the same time- the insides of the potatoes were all cold & hard & the outsides were wrinkly & overcooked. Again, I had the impression that they had been made previously & just put on my plate cold. My dish was 1 1/2, maybe 2 stars, but I'm rounding up to 3 because my husband really liked his pasta. Bottom line- be careful what you order I guess. Staff was universally friendly.

We love this place and try to visit frequently when in Noank. The calamari is terrific! We had clam sauce on linguine, just plain delicious. The bread is just right for eating and dipping!

I had the best halibut of my life here. Imagine the size portion you would expect in a finer dining establishment then put three of those filets in the plate with veggies and a side. Excellent.

This is a great local bar and grille. Great sea food a modest pricing. Service is good. I have been going to the seahorse for years and will drive out of my way to go there.

Delicious Barmister Scallops wrapped with Bacon. I will be back for their luscious lobster roll. Plus they are very accommodating to the military by offering a 25 percent discount on entries. Very nice place.

Food, service and atomosphere are all perfect! Our friends recommended and so we went out of our way and it was worth it. I got the special, swardfish and my hubbie got the special pizza - bacon and scallop. Soooo good.
