Hadn’t been in the area for quite a while so decided to try sn old favorite. What a wonderful experience. First the place is clean and warm ( the fireplace was going but not what I meant) and was warmly greeted. Sarah, our waitress, was attentive and friendly. A page of specials and the regular menu was presented. We enjoyed a bit of home baked bread just as I remembered. A white and a molasses bread, both delicious. Delicious & very friendly. Plenty of room between tables. Meatloaf very good and green beans were tender-crisp. Jambalaya also very good. Good menu variation without being overwhelming. Every employee (owners?) pleasant.

Nice little place. Good was surprisingly good. We are not from the area so it was a pleasant end to the day. They have in-house desserts which were an added treat. Staff was very friendly.
