We had a group of 7 people at hammonasset beach and once we reviewed lunch choices everyone felt like smth chinese. I looked and jia mei kitchen came up with positive reviews so i decided to give it a shot. Once we get there, we found cozy, clean dining place with great asian choices. I chose seagood delight, others chose chicken lomein and pad thai, etc. Our server/host was very friendly and helpful. All of the food came out in no time, everything was fresh and tasty. Everyone...
The best Chinese/Asian food I've had in many years. The chicken and cashew nuts had a light sauce so you could taste the high quality chicken and vegetables. The veggies were nice and crisp, not mushy and drowned in heavy generic sauce!
We only started eating Chinese food again because the chicken was often inconsistent 'parts' in our old take out places.

Went for lunch today and once again, wonderful experience! The restaurant has ample seating; my husband is 6’5” and sat comfortably. The waitress was awesome; the food was out of this world! Had the Pad Thai and Sesame Chicken, both were fresh and delicious.
