Stumbled upon this spot for a quick stop on a road trip and it is now saved as a favorite on my phone! Incredibly tasty paninis...tons of premade meals you can buy on the spot. Paleo friendly as well for those that may apply to. can't wait to return!

Gayle at What's Cookin catered my mother-in-law's 80th birthday party, and the food—especially the variety of sandwich wraps—was both delicious and beautifully presented. Gayle was incredibly responsive and even added a personal touch to the display when she learned my mother was a lifelong equestrian. Her helpful and friendly service made the event special, and I highly recommend What’s Cookin for any occasion.

We used What’s Cookin’ yesterday for our 47 year reunion and everyone just loved the food. Gayle gave us such a reasonable price, the food was delivered right on time and was truly delicious! Gayle was instrumental in making our reunion special and so helpful in the planning stage. I would recommend What’s Cookin’ to anyone looking for a great caterer! They were truly amazing!

I just wanted to give a shout-out to Gayle and and the rest of the staff how great everything was. They catered for my mom’s funeral service, the whole thing went smoothly. Gayle was kind and comfortable to work with. Everyone at the service told me how excellent the food was. Thank you!

5 ⭐️ across the board!! AMAZING find and so happy we stopped in. Gayle the owner is such a lovely person and is very good at what she does. They have an awesome selection of frozen foods and a full deli menu. I ordered 2 salads: Cobb and strawberry arugula. Both were out of this world. Will definitely be stopping in again.

this was a nice find during a work trip to Madison! it was so nice to see multiple vegan options in their freezer section - i eat mainly plant based so i was overwhelmed in the best way. everything in the freezer is clearly marked... WITH INGREDIENTS LISTED on the label. i got the vegan meatloaf and curly fries. the prices were pretty good, too, even in this inflationi want to go back

Vegetarian options: vegan options in the freezer! ingredients are listed on each entrée, which was nice and you don't see that

Dietary restrictions: they have gluten-free and i believe keto (or was it paleo?) options available

Slice of home on the shoreline! The kind hearted hospitality, the fresh quality ingredients. They have everything from a delicious breakfast sandwich, soups, to gluten free and paleo options, to full scale catered dishes. Homemade dishes like shepards pie and baked ziti! I cannot wait to keep trying all of their fantastic options. Do yourself a favor and try Gayle's kitchen, What's Cookin!

I don’t usually recommend anything on my page as my tastes are different than most but I really have to put this one out here If you are ever in the Madison area, PLEASE go check out What’s Cookin! Located on route 1, just a few minutes from the center of town, it is a cute little deli. They offer fresh sandwiches, salads and soup every day. They also hand make cookies and various desserts. In addition to regular foods, they provide catering AND make paleo and gluten free foods for those people with dietary restrictions! And check out their prepared meals in the coolers! A wide selection of both regular and paleo/gluten free meals and desserts along with beverages. The homemade chips, btw are healthier than the ones in the store and to die for 🤤 You won’t regret trying their food- I promise!

Great flavor, nice fresh bread on my chicken sandwich. I had the cats meow and it was ??. prices are little on the highline, I wouldn't call it a budget eatery, but absolutely delicious ?
