“Ordered pizza tonight, ordered on toast- ordered a large whole bacon, half with pepperoni and a salad for delivery. Delivered within 20 min- amazing! Pizza inside wasn’t quite what I ordered, it was half and half vs whole bacon, half pepperoni. Called the number on the receipt, spoke to the manager who was super apologetic and offered to make us a new pizza and he delivered it himself within 15 min. They didn’t have to do that, but they made sure our order was correct and I was extremely pleased with the outcome. “We hosted our 2 year old’s birthday party at Two Brothers Cafe and it was absolutely AMAZING! My boyfriend and I enjoyed corn chowder, hash, special blueberry pie stuffed French toast, and a special queso Philly cheesesteak “mess” which was like an omelet with all the Philly ingredients plus jalapeños. Deb joked and said I’d need a nap after the meal. Everything was SO GOOD!!! And I do enjoy a nap. Big fan. So many more things I can’t wait to try!“

“We have had food from the new location in Preston Connecticut three times now. They had only been two days, a few weeks, and now a few months when we are here. First impression was the cheese pizza had no taste but the deep dish pep was good. Second impression was similar. Now a few months into establishing, the cheese is delicious. Great sauce and cheese flavor and ratios. Crust is just right. We did have a few pieces of the Detroit/deep dish pep but not all of our deep dish tasted “Smokey.” The best way to explain it is like the smokiness of mezcal tequila. Most of the pep was charred so we suspect it was over cooked or was adjacent to something else in the oven that burnt. Overall, positive experience and in time, we think this restaurant will continue to strive and adjust recipes and cooking techniques to meet or exceed expectations.“

It was our first time going there, even though we live 6 min down the road.(I know, we've been missing out!) The bar staff was amazing in explaining the various types of wine, even allowing sampling before purchasing a glass. I've been to many wineries and the food/snacks are always overpriced. I love that you can purchase snacks here at a reasonable price AND they allow you to bring your own food-so fun! The atmosphere was cozy and just so beautiful. The show was great, we didn't stop laughing the entire time. We also met Toby and chatted with Karen and her husband,Larry? I believe. They gave us a quick history of how the winery came to be and they just seemed like the most genuine, nicest people ever. (Toby was the main attraction though!) It was nice and quiet and very cozy and i loved we were the only ones in there for a nice and quiet lunch since our baby was asleep. We had just came from Pumpkin Town down the street and i was really warm, the waiter noticed and offered to turn on the A.C for us which was the beginning of the awesome service we recieved. The menu had a variety of sushi and rolls but we went with something simple like the Shrimp tempura 🍤 and Chicken tempura. It was my first time trying the chicken one and it was soooooo good!!! We then tried the Hibachi chicken and shrimp from their lunch menu. For $15 it was the perfect portion for me and my fiancé to share after the rolls we ate. Everything was so good I forgot to take a picture of the food before we finished it lol. The staff was just beyond amazing and were constantly refilling our drinks and taking plates off the table as we finished. We did NOT need to ask for anything! “Ok so here it is.. the 411 on Cheeks Chicken And Waffles. This place used to be sub par at best. The service was horrible and the food was usually overcooked or undercooked. It was a roll of the dice... But it is under new owners and I keep hearing how they do amazing things for the community so I decided I'd give them another shot.
So today of all days (2/8/26, Superbowl Sunday) I went in on a whim at about 1:00. No reserved pick up time or anything. Just walked in and placed my order. About 20 minutes later I get my order. Two 16 piece orders. I spoke with the owner briefly and he is an amazing guy. Amazing customer service, and just a really nice person. They give all profits from the chips to local charities as well as other things that I've seen and heard of. As a member of a fraternal organization that does a lot of charity work that meant a lot.. back to the food.. OMG IT WAS AMAZING!! The wings are huuuggggeeee! The buffalo is good, it has a nice flavor. Not just like red hot tossed over wings. Then the garlic Parmesan are equally awesome! Just amazing flavor!! So there it is.. ginormous wings cooked correctly with amazing flavor. With amazing customer service and your supporting a local family owned business that gives back to the community.. it's a win win all around!! I went on on what is probably one of the busiest days of the year for anyone who sells chicken wings and I had an amazing product with amazing customer service at a decent price. I will absolutely be going back soon. I highly recommend that you do yourself a favor and get down there and get some wings. “Typical bar/restaurant with rustic decor and limited seating. Pizzas are typical New Haven style. The specialty pizzas are unique and tasty. We ordered 3 large, with two of them half-n-half. The waitress made a mistake on one. So, although we agreed to eat it rather than wait for the correct one, it wasn't what we wanted. Not saying it wasn't good, just not what we wanted. No harm, no foul.“
