“Picked up lunch today and brought it home. Excellent food! The goobkwr was outstanding and hubby loves the jalapeno popper dog. Also got Mac & cheese and the baked beans which I highly recommend and of course the salty balls. Had to also get the T-shirt too. Best food in the area. Makes me miss summer cookouts and was a nice break for all the holiday craziness and foods.“

“This is my second five star review of the month. If you know anything about my reviews, you know that I’m pretty strict with how I review my food choices. Was going by this place at 6:30 AM and greeted with a very kind and happy person.The manager or owner was super friendly with me, explained everything to me and even gave me a few toppings on the house because it was my first time. I got an açai bowl that knocked my socks off. It was full of great granola and seeds and peanut butter. I couldn’t have asked for a better breakfast. And top it all off. They had great strong coffee. I’m super happy with the experience I had at blend healthy spot. I will definitely highly recommend this to anyone that’s looking for a great healthy alternative for breakfast.“

“There is no doubt that Gouveia is photographer’s dream, and as full-time wedding photographers, we have captured engagements and even surprise proposals here on the beautiful property. Whenever a client asks about a nice view in the hills, a vineyard or winery, something that feels almost like Europe, we tell them we should go here! We love how much the owners and staff allow us to use the property with ease. The scenic vineyard looks like a perfect set was constructed for us, and the long leading lines of the rows and driveway all help our captures. We love going by the pond with couples, too, making it feel even more like we have transported to somewhere that isn’t Connecticut. It’s never a problem having other visitors there, or being able to hide and then catch the moment the proposal is happening. You can blend in and then pop out with any family or friends to the jubilant couple, moving right into the engagement session on the perfect property for it. Sunsets are always because of the clouds, and if you hit the right evening, it can be unforgettable here. The couples all grab some glasses at some point as well and love the offerings Gouveia has in all regards. “I have been to Counterweight multiple times and it has always been a fun time! The beer is always on point and we can bring our kids and play games while enjoying various food trucks. Their comedy nights are also a great adult night out! Counterweight is definitely worth the visit!“

“I want to start off by saying that I go to Patty cakes all the time in Rocky Hill and Glastonbury and they are very professional. Their egg sandwiches are amazing and their bakery department as well. The staff is very nice. I highly recommend patty cakes.

Really top notch imo. I had a snafu and forgot to add a topping on a gh order. They let me call in and modify and pay cash at pickup. They didn't want to take my money on arrival which was nice of them. Tip your people, everyone!

The slice was great. Big flop because it had toppings, but it held beautifully. Great char on the bottom and that razor thin apizza crust. Toppings up to the edge. Good pie. I don't think it's wood or coal fired, but the got the temp right in that oven for sure. Good fresh ingredients!“
