We had a lovely Valentine’s Day dinner here. I ordered the diver scallops and shrimp meal. It sounded delicious, but I found I didn’t care for the seasoning. The owner came by our table and asked about our meals. When I told her it was a bit peppery for me she offered to replace the dish without the seasoning. I was able to enjoy the meal prepared this way. I honestly did not expect the restaurant to replace the meal since I did not ask about the seasoning when I ordered it. But Red Fox cares about its patrons. That is why I will continue to choose this restaurant for a great dining experience. Thank you!

The food here was absolutely incredible, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. We got to enjoy the newly built outdoor seating, where the breeze made everything even more enjoyable. The drinks were fantastic, and the staff was attentive and timely throughout our meal. I tried a special—halibut with purple mash and asparagus—and it was phenomenal. Every bite was full of flavor. Between the stunning setting, delicious food, and excellent service, this spot is a must-visit. You won’t be disappointed!

Except for a small snafu having a server assigned to our table, we enjoyed a delicious, abundant meal. The Caesar salad was large enough to share and we appreciated taking that recommendation from our server. The menu has recently changed, and while it contains some really nice new options, a lot of old favorites remain. It's a place I will happily return to time and again.
We always enjoy Red Fox but recently discovered the “Tomahawk Thursdays”. What a deal! Check it out, you won't be disappointed. The steak portion is enormous and the sides are perfectly portioned. We feel welcomed and enjoy the ambiance very much and we always look forward to our next meal with them.
Highly recommend this restaurant food is exceptional. Staff is accommodating

Food was just ok, our main waiter was pretty rude. The others that assisted were fine. The room was cold. Don't think there's a reason for me to ever go back.

Very friendly atmosphere & beautifully decorated for the holidays. Our waiter, Edris was an absolute gentleman. He memorized our order to perfection. Edris was very attentive to our needs even as the restaurant got busy. The food was absolutely fantastic, served hot & prices are very reasonable. I was also impressed with the drinks- the bartender was generous on the alcohol & light on the ice - I will definitely go back, especially in the spring/ summer when I can sit outside on their stunning stone patio. The place is a hidden gem.
Food tasted very good but unfortunately our server was very rushed and didn’t even offer dessert. Disappointing for the $$.

Good food - When it comes. Restaurant was 1/2 empty and I saw quite a few wait staff “hanging out” in the back. We waited 20 minutes for glasses of wine. 25 minutes to order. We got our food 40 minutes after being seated. Took another 10 minutes to get dessert - and another 5 minutes (total 15 minutes) to get coffee.
5 people — big bill. We didn’t stiff the staff because it was management's fault for not training and overseeing service. Will NEVER return.

The food and atmosphere is good, but service sucks. We come here every year for our work Xmas party. Every year we have the same waiter. He's rude. I have been a vegetarian for over 20 years. I asked for their gnocchi without the chicken on top. They brought me the gnocchi with the chicken on top. Then instead of trying to remedy the situation the waiter just told me to take the chicken off. I don't have an allergy and I don't want them spitting in my food so I didn't argue but I was clearly upset about it. This place is the worst.

The butter was served with something in it that was indecipherable by both our party and the server. However, they did replace it but not within a timely period. Then the waiter could not describe how the scallops and shrimp was prepared nor could he offer any explanation. They were not busy and the waiter never came back until we were done to check on food. Overall very disappointed with the meal and service. Also we had been to the location in Meriden and had brunch which was excellent .when we asked our server if we could get it yesterday he informed us only available on sundays and that we still couldn't get the whipped ricotta that we had in Meriden. How can one location serve this and not the other?? Doesn't make sense if they are all owned by same people. Going to be interesting to see if they survive.
