Many years ago we had a very good bagel shop in Monroe. It’s great to once again have a local place that makes hot, fresh bagels. The variety is extensive from plain to jalapeno cheddar (yum) with an extensive assortment of cream cheeses. Looking forward to going back to try the lunch sandwiches. Don’t miss out on this local gem.
Always excellent service excellent Bagel Muffin or Sandwich prices are good place is clean and neat.Been there often since it opened no more driving to Trumbull Newtown or Bridgeport for Bagels.Monroe finally has a great place for bagels
The best bagels outside of NYC! Friendliest staff who makes the bagels in house. Always consistent delicious!

Bagel City Monroe is a local place that makes hot, fresh bagels. Many years ago there was a very good bagel shop in Monroe, and it is great to once again have a local place for bagels. The variety is extensive from plain to jalapeno cheddar with an extensive assortment of cream cheeses. The lunch sandwiches are worth trying. Service is always excellent, prices are good, and the place is clean and neat. One of the best bagel shops, with a simple onion bagel with cream cheese that is delicious. The angry chicken salad and angry tuna fish both come with jalapeños. The Everything Bagel with jalapeño cream cheese is absolutely delicious. The bagels are the freshest and made with care, perfectly toasty. The service is super fast, and the staff is friendly, kind, welcoming, and nice. This is a hidden gem and a wonderful place to enjoy breakfast. Highly recommended.
