Our favorite place to get middle eastern food. The meat is juicy, the rices delicious, and the spreads/dips (like hummus) are very fresh. Owners are extremely kind and the wait is never long.
I made an online order for a Greek salad with chicken shawarma and rice pudding. I specially asked for no tomatoes and no olives. The order arrived loaded with tomatoes and olives and a tiny piece of feta cheese. Furthermore, there was no rice pudding for which I paid. When trying to contact the restaurant multiple times , the phone just and rings and there is no voice mail set up. Hugely disappointed in a restaurant I used to love.
The food at Monroe falafel is amazing. Truly authentic Egyptian cuisine. The restaurant has a family feel and the proprietor and chef is also your waiter. Everything on the menu is made from scratch, seasoned perfectly. Portions are ample —you will definitely be taking home a doggie bag or three. There is also a small market where you can purchase delicacies to go. If you are Arab, you will feel at home. If you’ve often found Middle eastern food to be “meh,” you’ll change...
