I tried Retro subs for the first time this past Friday. It's such a cool vibe inside, really love all the throwback music and there is a lot to look at throughout and I love how there are games on every table. The staff was also very friendly. Retro Subs offers a cool vibe with throwback music, retro decor, and games on every table. The atmosphere is oozing of retro fun, with a massive amount of pictures on the walls of movies and television shows, plus candy and games everywhere to play free of charge. There is even a super Nintendo in the back room. The staff is always welcoming, helpful, friendly, and willing to work with requests. The owners are down to earth and clearly poured their heart and soul out in this restaurant. The food is crazy good, real sandwiches no skimping, and everything is made to order. Menu items mentioned include a turkey grinder, a steak and cheese, loaded fries, a cheesesteak, a ham & cheese grinder, a ham, provolone, dill pickles, lettuce, mayo, and vinegar grinder, a blt, and a turkey grinder. The fries were nice and crispy, the amount of cheese was perfect, and the bacon was crispy. The turkey grinder was perfectly constructed with just the right amount of toppings and condiments, not a sloppy mess but still nice and hearty. The cheesesteak was cooked to perfection and well seasoned, and they don't skimp on the cheese. The ingredients were fresh and the grinder was put together perfectly. Dining vibe is cute with fun games to play and novelty items to purchase in the back. There is an awesome spot to hang out and eat. Go check this place out, especially if you have kids to bring, they will have a blast.
