“Food and service is always consistent and awesome. I haven't had better chicken and broccoli anywhere else other than here. Also the Szechuan chicken is amazing. I always get about 2-3 different things just cuz it's always so good. I end up spending like 50$ on myself only. Definitely a must try if you haven't already.“

“Ordered through DoorDash. The food came quickly and hot as well as correct. We ordered the hibachi noodles, shrimp and vegetable tempura, beef negimaki and sweet potato rolls. The beef negimaki and sweet potato rolls were very good. The hibachi noodles were a bit gummy but ok tasting and the tempura lacked favor. All in all they were good portions and reasonably priced. Would definitely order from here again.“

“Amazing sushi place in New Milford CT. The service first of all is much much better than I expected. It was quiet on. Saturday night but they were always very attentive refilling our water much more often than needed and always being there. They were chinese and very polite people and had a great conversation with one of them. We were greeted inmediately and was seated immediately and picked dishes that looked great. We were very grateful they had cooked fish sushi because my friend doesnt like raw fish. The appetiser, takoyaki was super hot which was nice and tasted very fresh crispy and creamy delicious. The rest of the sushi came in one giant platter which was unexpected but very nice and looked much better. All of the sushi looked delicious and tasted delicious and my favourite was the spicy girl. It was the perfect texture not too soft and all the flavours balanced together very seamlessly and was such a joy to put in my mouth. The out of control was also nice but I really do NOT like the cream cheese which is too bold and dominating and takes away from the other flavours like the crab and salmon. Just a personal preference. Lastly the atmosphere felt empty and soulless because there werent many people but I definitely think it would be great when its full. In the beginning it was also uncomfortable because the temperature was quite hot for us but we got used to it. The seating was comfortable as well. Just the room could use brighter colours and a little more light. Just exceptional service (for low key restaurant) and great food at good price highly recommend.“

“It's a small space, so come early or call ahead and make a reservation. The food is delicious. The comfy atmosphere makes it a great place to go for conversation while enjoying your food.

“This is the second time I've had maroo. The first time I would've rated a 1 or 2 bc I got sick from the octopus poke I ordered 1.5 years ago when I ordered thru Ubereats.

I see a lot of comments about the owners being rude, grumpy old people. I did not experience this. There was only a couple eating inside and just me. I ordered the bulgogi and the spicy salmon poke. I enjoyed the bulgogi and the poke was a million times better than that taichi crap in danbury fair. I wish they had a make your own poke option because I like my poke covered in crunchies. Service was a little slow but not too bad. Overall decent.“

“We were here for half price sushi night (every Monday& Tuesday). They are slammed busy in a small dining room but the food comes out lightning fast. The fish portions are noticably smaller and more cucumber and other fillings in the rolls is noticable. But this does not detract from the quality or flavor of the sushi. Overall the service and value is great!“

The place is nice & cozy, but the service wasn’t as good / fast as expected.
However, unfortunately, this area of Connecticut doesn’t seem to be known for good Sushi, so it seems like this place might be the best option for those craving some fresh rolls ?
Just not my favorite, but I’d gladly recommend for others to try.“
