The Offline IPA is my favorite, refreshing with low alcohol content. The environment is a great place to hang with the family or friends and the food trucks offer a great snack or meal.
Great brewery with lots of good beers! We brought our own snacks, but there was a food truck out front that smelled really good. Love to come back here again
This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I've been to Brewery Legitimus many times throughout the years, and it never disappointed me.
The brewery is spacious enough: the indoor space is separated into two rooms, which makes it easy to have a private event. Brewery Legitimus is a lively place with a variety of beer options, including stouts, Belgian ales, lagers, Kolsches, IPAs, DIPAs, sours, and hard seltzers. The spacious taproom and event space are perfect for hanging out with friends or family. The brewery is located in a former 8500 square feet factory, providing plenty of room for guests. It is a family-owned, independent brewery that opened in 2016. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the environment is welcoming. The outdoor beer garden is dog-friendly, allowing dogs in the outside area, but dogs are not permitted inside because of the on-site cooking. Visitors can buy cans to go, enjoy food trucks and events, and even order cocktails from the bar. The selection of beers is broad, with some being IPA-heavy, but they also serve other styles like Marzen, Kolsch, and Ales. The brewery offers beer flights and 6oz drafts, so customers can try many beers. Favorites include the Offline IPA, known for its refreshing taste and low alcohol content, and the Barrel Aged bottles like Lord Dobson's and Maple Girl, which have rich barrel flavors. They also have ciders, seltzers, wine, and a sweet, tangy cocktail that many enjoy. The taproom recently received an upgrade, making it even more comfortable. Overall, Brewery Legitimus is praised for its great beer, community atmosphere, and kid-friendly environment.
