Very intimate setting. The wait staff were very friendly. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and the manager came over to congratulate us as well as give us a complimentary toast.
Wow. We had a wonderful time here. Very thoughtful service. The atmosphere. And the Food was awesome!!!! I will definitely come back when I am in New Haven again.
ZINC is truly one of the FINEST restaurants that ANYONE can ever go to in the whole nation. Not going to say anything more about it. You MUST experience for yourself.

ZINC offers spectacular food and drinks, with the hummus described as the best, so smooth and filling. Other highlights include the fresh and interesting beet salad, refreshing pomegranate martini mocktail, good duck nachos, and a standout polenta with mushrooms and salmon dish. Some found the crispy chicken flavorful but very dry with a very small portion, while the scallops and steak teres major were good, though the steak ordered medium rare was slightly on the well side. The cajun clam chowder was good. However, the pistachio almond cake was an outlier and the dessert was a little underwhelming. Service experiences vary; some found it great, while others faced veryyyyy slow service, with a 30-minute wait for water and a 50-minute wait to order on a Saturday. The place is nice with comfortable ambience, and the waitstaff is helpful. Pay parking around the corner at Crown St Garage is convenient and validated.
