Apparently, MaMa Mary has sublet her Soul Food establishment to a foreign entity. I've always known it to be a black owned business, and I went there to give my support. The lady who answered the phone and took my order had an accent. When I went to pick it up, the same lady, who appeared to be Indian was at the cash register. This was my 1st time eating there. The manager or owner Sabrina was hands on, extremely nice and checked on us regularly. The service was excellent. I got fried shrimp and French fries with a side of Mac n cheese, I was a little disappointed in the Mac n cheese. Idk if it was the cheese, but hopefully they will work on improving it. Ordered fried whitings, cabbage, mac and cheese and potato salad corn bread.
Cabbage and potato salad was on point. That mac n cheese was giving kraft/ velvetta that def was not it. The fish was juicy and tender inside, it was bland in flavor aside from a lemon taste. Corn bread was good but I think it was old as it was crumbling into pieces.
I ordered on uber eats overall I'd give this plate a mid 7/10.
