Loud, the music was blasting and couldn't have a conversation without screaming across the table. The food was overcooked. When you over cooking pasta it releases excess starch, leading to stickiness. My plate was a blob of salty pasta that took over 40 minutes to arrive. Btw, the pizza cook at the station at the end of the restaurant was licking his fingers meanwhile he was working on the dough!! and then touching it again. That's a health code violation. He did that several times.

The food was very good, however the service was very poor. The restaurant was moderately busy at 11am. My table of 4 waited 30 minutes for a round of what was supposed to be 4 mocktails. I was notified after 30 minutes that they ran out of 1 of the drinks that was ordered. I ordered another drink and when it still hadn't arrived after 20 more minutes one of the guests asked if the drink was coming to which the waitress was not apologetic but replied, “50 people just walked in at once so the bar is backed up.” It took another 20 minutes after that for the drink to be delivered. The table wanted to order another round but did not because they were afraid it was going to take 40 more minutes. A manager never stopped by the table to check in or apologize for the excessive beverage time wait.

After seeing the Instagram post, I was excited to try this restaurant. We made reservations for 9pm since that was all they had left which was fine .. We loved the decor and ambiance but it went downhill shortly after. While waiting for a drink at the bar, the waiter seemed annoyed we were disturbing him since he was talking to his girlfriend at the bar . When we were finally sat by the lovely hostess , we were greeted by the waitress who seemed uninterested that it was our first time there . We ordered olive salad that came with no olives unlike the one we saw waiting at the pick up station . Eggplant chips- those were very good, and Cacio e Pepe pasta that was absolutely terrible .. It was cold and had a fried egg on it!! Yuck!! When we complained that we didn't like or eat the pasta ,un aware it came with a fried egg , the waitress asked if we wanted to see the manager.. Although we said it's ok she had him come over .. He came over and said "What's up?" "I heard you didn't like one of the items you had" Now being in the restaurant business, I know that's not how you greet customers. Instead of asking what we wanted him to do, he should have offered something else, dessert, coffee , or comp the meal , which is what I would do as a manager. Still in shock how we were approached, I knew I would not be coming back to this establishment.. Really should do better knowing there are so many choices in New Haven. Very disappointed!

We appreciate the accommodation despite our 15-minute delay. However, the service was slow, and the food quality was subpar. My chicken Milanese arrived with mixed greens instead of arugula, topped with cold dressing, and the chicken was burnt and barely warm. Similarly, my wife's pizza had raw dough and was soggy and inedible. Despite the server's offer to take it home, she declined, indicating its poor quality. We opted to dine elsewhere, where we enjoyed a delightful meal and dessert. We won't be returning to this establishment.

Their bouncer has no idea what a real ID for out of state looks like, if I was that insecure I’d be jumpy too…but I’m competent at at my job so…

We were a party of 9 celebrating 2 family birthdays. The food was excellent and everything was delivered to our table as ordered. Though friendly, our server was overwhelmed. She had too many tables and couldn't provide great service. We felt the restaurant was understaffed. Where we were seated in the restaurant was freezing. The outer doors were strapped open so every time someone walked through the inner doors a huge cold breeze came in. It was awful. Overall, the quality of the food was so good that if we were in the area again, we would give the restaurant another try.

I heard so much about the food to be disappointed. The caci de pipe was terrible and the bolognase hardly had any meat. The pizza was better but there are way better restaurants in the area.

Food is fine. It’s not bad but it’s definitely not something I would rave about. Good place if you’re a picky eater since it’s pretty

While our server tried her best, the kitchen and bar were out of so many ingredients that the menu was severely limited. Our orders were brought to us missing basic staples - like basil on a caprese salad or a margarita pizza. Definitely won't be heading back.

We went the night before for dinner and loved it, so we're excited to try brunch. Big mistake. We arrived for our 11:15 reservation and the hostess rushed up with sunglasses on her head as though we interrupted what she was doing. No greeting, just asked if we had a reservation (we did). We were seated two tables down from the only other guests in the restaurant at the time. Our menus were filthy with grease stains and sauce—if you're not going to do a laminated menu, you need to have plenty of extras to replace them after being checked before and after every service. They don't have decaf coffee, sugar comes served in a plastic to-go ramekin and I heard another table trying to order coffee and it was complicated bc of all the "we don't have that"s. It took over 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive (a coffee and a mimosa flight). The mimosa flight was too boozy—and this is coming from someone who almost only drinks Prosecco—and comes in an obnoxiously large tower. We then waited over 1/2 hour for our food. My husband had the cannoli waffle and said it was dry and had it not been for the cannoli filling on top, he wouldn't have eaten it. I had the meatball Benedict and it was nothing special. The hollandaise was tasteless and the bread super soggy. The "roasted fingerling potatoes" were not fingerlings and were not seasoned at all. I had to ask for salt and pepper to be brought to the table. The most disappointing aspect was the service, though. The young woman with the sunglasses kept them on her head the whole time we were there, bringing food to table, seating guests, etc. She yelled loudly across the very open dining room when one of her friends/favorite servers walked in the door, making everyone turn their heads. The only one who seemed to care was our server and a server who came in later—both the same age as everyone else, so it wasn't that. It was just a general lack of professionalism/hospitality one would expect. Especially after such a great dinner!

Worse experience I've ever had waited over an hour and still did not get served. My wife and I was the only black couple and quite frankly I felt discriminated by this establishment. I say this but while sitting there my wife brought it to my attention that other people that came after us were getting served

Amazing food, great staff and great vibes from servers and bartenders. The interior is classy and modern with a touch of fun and beautiful decor. The drinks are always on point and will having staying a while.

I love the atmosphere in this place, modern but has vintage Italian themes through out. It's very loud though, I feel you have to yell at everyone at the table to hear each other. Some sound deadening panels may help with that. The cocktails and mocktails is what brings me back here. They have some unique cocktails on the menu that are divine. I actually got the strawberry spritz mocktail this time and was not disappointed. I would come back here just to hang at the bar for drinks. The food was typical Italian fare. We started with the burrata which was creamy and hit the spot. Our friends split the chicken piccata and calamari. They got a lot of food! And said they enjoyed it. One of the best chicken piccata they have had. My husband had the shrimp scampi which he said was too rich and butter for him but still enjoyed it. We typically do not use a lot of butter in our cooking which is probably why. I had the olives salad with an add on of meatballs on the side. I liked the salad- however the dressing was so acidic it instantly gave me sores in my mouth. I would ask for the dressing on the side or a different dressing than balsamic. The meatballs hit the spot- the sauce was not too sweet. The meatballs were tender and very cheesy! I liked them enough. Service was spot on. The waiter was attentive and energetic. We would come here again for drinks and apps. Not sure about dinner. 4 stars service, drinks and Apps ... 3 stars food.

Poor service, even poorer food. For the price point of this "authentic Italian" restaurant, you should leave satisfied and with something to talk about. Not tasteless bland and over cooked food. The pasta? Mush. The chicken in the picata? Rubbery and tasted like a dirty grill.Chicken parm? Not melted, sauce taste like it came from a can. Acidic and bland. To top it all off we have to wait almost an hour for food. Will not recommend and will not be back.Plenty of great options for Italian in New Haven and this isn't one of them.
