I don’t know what it is about New England and gay nightclubs in general in CT, but they do not seem welcoming to black people. The staff is friendly, yes, but they’re doing their jobs. It’s the people that just give these dirty looks and ignore you entirely that made me feel like I didn’t belong there.
Had a great time! Drag was fun. This was my first time at a gay bar and I was a little nervous but the bartender was very nice.
Love Partners’s as my local but it’s always hot. It’s like they don’t turn the AC on until 4 hours after people come in so it never cools down in there.
