Discovered this gem when I moved into an office two blocks away. The service is excellent and the food is out of this world. Everything was so fresh - the rolls tasted like they had been baked that morning. My favorite grinder is the prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and Italian red peppers on a roll. Can't wait to go back and try another of their specialty sandwiches! Check it out - you will not be disappointed!

I've been going to Vito's since the mid-80s, when the law firm I was messenger at introduced me to them (I used to go several times a day to pick-up orders for the lawyers and their meetings.) I am going to miss those subs and salads SO SO SO much. Thank you Vito's for all of the delicious food over the years! Best wishes in your retirements! Well deserved! (but sad for New Haven foodies!)
